Many nikkas that call Cole and Kendrick lame and the ones that scream like a schoolgirl for Meek Mill are the same ones that get played by CAC hands by being pawns for the prison industrial complex.

What about cats like me that think Meek Mill is triddash, and even worse than Cole and Kendrick?

We went through the unsafe superthugs shyt from the late 80s to late 00s. Where did that get us? A bunch of MCs that ended up dead before their time, and far more locked up before they hit their stride.

Many nikkas that call Cole and Kendrick lame and the ones that scream like a schoolgirl for Meek Mill are the same ones that get played by CAC hands by being pawns for the prison industrial complex. Same argument Hip Hop had 25 years ago is happening again, and the egotistical nikkas are gonna watch as history repeat itself again.

Well, I agree with that part :ehh:

But people try to downplay Cole going platinum without a feature and Kendrick selling more than GKMC in the first few weeks and on pace to outsell it without making any bullshyt commercial singles.

All the years of the turn up music is finally facing something that can't be ignored. It will be interesting to see how the rest of 2015 is going to play out.

Kendrick is no different from Nas. Nas wasn't built like no Don or no Thug. He was the kid who watched everything happened and wanted no parts. We didn't give a shyt because his music was so tough. So why is Kendrick any different? Too much 90s bias

Kendrick & nas or nothing alike nas has way more swag & he's more street stop sucking kdot dikk. :dahell:

With that said kdot been found who he is & his own lane. He can go from preachy black empowerment music to trunk or semi club music to biting nikkas heads off.:blessed:

he doesn't have to be a thug, that's not even close to what i'm saying, just be real.

dlon't try to be some messiah type charcter.

for example by 'real'

we can all agree dmx did more in the streets than kendrick right?

but he still talks about more than the street life and how it effected him, but kendric will literlaly only talk about compton.

Dmx Slipping: in the 1st verse he talks about how being short contributed to the chip on his shoulder, and the bad relationship with his mother. both things that have nothing to do with the city or being 'street' althouh he includes these elemeents in the song too.

Kendrick on the other hand will only talk about compton, he won't actually get personal (what do i want from him and his scars) there's more to him than just compton, but he doesn't talk about it.
I don't agree with your OP/premise of the thread but I can respect this post.

I don't think this is an accurate description of Kendrick at all.
We know the guy has talked about his own personal failures, whether that's not
looking after his friends younger brother, his sister getting pregnant, falling for a girl
with gang member cousins or getting high for the first time.

That last sentence screams "I have never listened to this dudes music".

His issue is he wants to be 2Pac. Or his idea of what 2Pac was, rather. Pac was a 25 year old beating people up in casinos, running around with criminals trying to figure out a way to get rich. He was not a revolutionary and I don't really think he wanted to be one. For every "Brenda's Got a Baby" there are 2 "How Do U Want It". 2Pac, when he passed, would not have been hanging with Kendrick. He probably would have jumped him or dissed him on a record.

Kendrick says he wants his music to be studied in universities, etc. so it's not authentic, imo. It's fake deep music being made for white people to offer their 3,000 word think pieces and pat him on the back. Nas, when making Illmatic, never thought "yo, this album is for Harvard, b." It was just that good.

Wow you put it into words I couldn't.

This is it right here why I can't get into Kendrick's music. Its all too limited and safe. I don't really care about generic stories about Compton. He needs to bring that life back in a way that is more personal and relatable. I feel like artists like j cole, nipsey, krit do a much better job at that. I just don't "feel" Kendrick's music like I do theirs.

That's all generic "hood" stuff though breh.

Same tropes we've seen in every hood story since forever. Its not really personal. shyt might not even be true.

this is the image of the black male that the white/jewish ppl that REALLY runs hiphop, has decided to be the face of black music and in essence black men in general. We've been conditioned to think "positive" rappers are lame and corny. The super thug rapper has been forced into our consciousness for so long now that anything "different" is shunned. I hope with Cole and Lamar selling, that intelligence and lyricism is making a comeback to mainstream. Right now, its simply not "cool" to be intelligent
Bullshyt, kendrcik is a controlled too. He's not some positive intellectual savior. Let him start saying some real shyt and a i bet you interscope's love affair will end with him overnight.

Only young cats think Kendrick is deep. Dude is a walking cliche. and if you've heard any rap prior to 2006, you'd know this.

as Nikki D recently said, "these young kids think hip hop started with Lil Wayne." I can understand the fascination with Duckworth if Wayne is your frame of reference.

alright, i don't want sympathy, as i'll have some money soon, but i barely ate the last two days and i have no money right now. this is mostly my fault, just ftr.

i'm hungry as fck and it's getting to me.

here;s my plan, tell me what you think:

there are some restaruants close to me open to 4am or open 24/7

I'm thinking to just go sit down and order, and then before it's time to pay simply walk out without paying.

It seems simple, is there something im overlookking?

there's cops out at this time, i always see them when i leave, but would they really call the cops on me for something like this?

the cops could also happen to be eating at the same restaraunt, but that would be bad luck for me.

i'm also htinking about going to nearby 7-11 and just asking if i can hae the food they're going to throw away.

what do you think of either plan?
