Another underrated old beat em up, though a little short on content, is Sengoku 3

Agreed, the timing of it was bad when you have so many better options. I think they can still do it because there are other franchises that bad iterations. Unsure how valuable that IP is, but I would see if somebody like DotEmu or Arcsystem wants to work on it.
