After this thing Putin pulled russia will be facing sanctions for years plus people just won't want to do business with them. The country is poor as it is and will only get worst. all their neighbors are joining the EU and are doing better. At some point the Russian people will want what their neighbors have and it would take another Putin like leader to keep them from that.

to be fair since satellites troop movements are an open secret. the countries with them (US, China, Russia, etc) can see other's movements
None knows the future but don't mean people can have conversations about possible outcomes.
So taking out IFV, tanks and aircraft from a force that has to fight against one that does is a massive loss in my book.
