I could see Yvette and Tone but not Tariq. He make some real unprofessional-like comments. This last public spat they've has really been tacky which is why I think she better off playing like he doesn't exist.

Black Republican coalition in Chicago? :rudy:

Hmm..you must not be very familiar with Chicago’s black political landscape. Historically, Chicago had one of the largest black republican contingencies in the country. You saw many cross party lines and vote for Obama during his presidency. Many moved moderate during the Tea Party years. However, you’re starting see numbers trend back up though.

what about Ja Rule? Has anyone asked Ja what he thinks about reparations yet??

Gonna start directing folks to him now. He more credible than these busters.:francis:

It's been ultra embarrassing for a while. They've all tanked any sensible talk to just straight out insulting each other.

Its known that Tariq doesnt play nice with anyone too long, and for a male is ultra catty, but this run has been sad to see. From everyone involved.

The irony is whatever comes they'll mostly be comfortable. In fact a lot of these talking heads will be even better off with 4 more years of Trump.

Called me yesterday and told me he had to unfollow them on twitter.:francis:

Backstory:

This past summer, I was at a business lunch and in conversation the topic of reparations came up. I was at a table with three black businessmen here in Chicago. One is the head of Chicago’s black republican coalition, one is a real estate CEO, and the other is a partner at a Big 4 accounting firm.

I recommended they follow a few people who are pushing the reparations talk at the ground level which included Tone, Yvette, and Tariq.

Two out of the three have told me that they’ve had to unfollow Yvette and Tariq because they do nothing but argue with each other. Said both are ego-driven and use emotional manipulation to control their followers, appear to not be strategist and are not seeing the bigger picture.

The one I spoke to yesterday said that if this is for whom the black mainstream are forgoing traditional black leadership, they’re about to wander forty years in the desert. :francis:

I’m embarrassed that I recommended them.

If ADOS and FBA can’t convince blacks with resources, I don’t know how far this movement is going to get.

I’ve said this before, you need people with resources to help fund initiatives.

How long are they going to go nickel and diming their bases who get pissed at the thought of even having to pay $50 to attend a whole ass conference. :mindblown:

Who don’t understand the time that goes into planning a conference and pissed off because of the hosting date next year?

This ain’t it. :francis:

I won’t ever recommend Yvette and Tariq again.

Got me out here looking shiftless.. :martin:

Recommend Tariq or Yvette to successful people brehs:mjlol:

Do you now agree with this?

Also, what had you convinced previously that these three were fit for leadership?

I was never part of the demographic that looked to YouTube scholars and hustlers for leadership.

I recommended them, specifically ADOS, solely off the strength of them being the catalyst behind the resurgence of rep talks. Nothing more. I included FBA soley off the strength of them jumping on the trend.

Never again.

I’ll just forward folks to what Ta-Nehisi has to say on the subject.
