Some fukking idiot took out 80k in loans for some shyt degree and is a barista now or something and wants it forgiven. Eat a dikk. Now there’s ways to amend it. Make them no interest. Be able to declare bankruptcy like any other debt and just have bad credit for life. Work community service in exchange for some relief. Outright forgiveness is a joke

Congress holds the purse not the senate and Dems control the congress all Biden has to do it EO the fukk out of the GOP and use the emergency declaration to get funds back to the people... Trump used that shyt for a fukkin wall and you don’t think Biden is allowed to use it to help folk? Also it’s more important Dems when these 2 senate seats to bush McConnell bytch ass

Yes and no. No matter what the reasoning.. funds can only be allocated after being up for vote. EO's cant push money out. I'm not sure how an 'emergency declaration' works, or if thats even a thing... but Trump got money for the border wall by taking military funds from their budget. Citing National Security.

Fact is youre right tho.. we NEED those two seats. If we get them.. the Stimulus that the people will get will allow them to catch up on rent and crawl out of the debt theyve accumulated during these crazy times.

She must have only been making the minimum payments originally right?:picard:

She was making around 65k a year. They'd take out $336 every two weeks. So $672 a month. I mean.. that doesn't sound like minimum, but then again.. I've never had a payment on an amount that big.

How exactly is this a crab in the bucket mentality? I'm not stuck in a bucket and pulling people back down that are attempting to make it out. I'm tired of having to foot the bill for irresponsible people. What kind of fukking idiot takes 100k+ in student loans unless you're a doctor or something? I work with people that brag about having multiple degrees and they have no intentions of using them but they continue to rack up student loan debt.

Now if a hoodrat with 6 kids was crying about not getting government assistance, the tone would be much different... It's essentially the same thing that people with crazy amounts of student loans are doing.

"I suffered through, why shouldn't they?"

"Why should my taxes go to pay for someone else's mistakes?"

Same crab ass shyt from the bootstraps playbook that a notable segment of the population is fond of using whenever it comes to helping someone else. You barely avoided the "welfare queen" argument, instead you used "hoodrat with 6 kids".

You need to wake the fukk up & realize what playbook you're reading out of. Notice I gave you the benefit of the doubt that you don't already know what you're parroting.

The sh1t is infuriating... I honestly don't understand how people think sh1t like that is acceptable.
Same mentality as the rent thread. People think they are just entitled to be in someone’s crib and not pay rent. Just take out 100k in loans and think you don’t owe it back. Losers

For the first part.. are you preaching what youre preaching when the government keeps bailing out the banks and airline industry? Or did you only bring your guns for your fellow Americans?

For the second part.. just .. :snoop:

I think if this was an option (especially to make them no interest) .. it would make all the difference in the world. :manny:

Real talk you use to be able to declare bankruptcy on your student loans. But folks were abusing it in the 70s. And so in 1976 the government passed a law where you couldn't file for bankruptcy on student loans.

Its absolutely ridiculous that’s how it’s set up. Every other debt you can abuse and just declare bankruptcy. I haven’t looked into the how and why’s it was set up like that, but that absolutely needs to change

I’d be for something where say you had an 80k loan, paid 60, and still own 75. I’d be absolutely for just saying you only owe 20k that 60k is applied to the loan amount and the interest is just tossed aside. Then you can work at a food bank or church or community center or something once a week for a half year and wipe away the rest. Give something back

Those banks and airlines provide jobs... I used the hoodrat thing because both parties lack self-accountability... They want people to pay for their poor judgment.

You also know damn well that the idiots that signed up to pay six figures in loans don't just want the interest nixed, they want the entire loan forgiven. If Biden said he would have the interest on the loan forgiven, they would still bytch and complain.

So what? I’m all for folks doing community service in exchange for some forgiveness. Outright wiping out tens of thousands in student loan debt across the board and making everyone without the student loan debt but have likely lots of other debt and get jack shyt shoulder the bailout is a big fukk off from me
You do realize student loan forgiveness would disproportionally benefit black students right? Black students take on more loans than white students because they're less likely to have mom and dad pay for their college. But cats like you are so stuck on these crabs in the barrel talking points to see that this would level the racial playing field.
