Technically, it kind of is a win for him in the fact that he made Nancy look funny in the light as well. She also lost by not winning the Senate and have months of posturing be for nothing.

He’s perfectly fine with being a scum bytch in public so this optics isn’t going to hurt him in the slightest. For months, Nancy pretended that she had leverage when she really did and still had to budge off of her original demands. She got on the defensive in interviews when people pressed her for hopping on the bipartisan deal after holding out for a higher amount for so long.
You're more so worried about how Pelosi looks to the public instead of an actual bill passing which your boy Mitch held up for months only to end up passing a bill with NOTHING THAT HE WANTED in it. Who cares how this makes Pelosi look the bill got passed

Uncertain grounds
They have months to pass a stimulus bill, so I’m not going to absolve any side of blame over the situation. It’s more so the point that Nancy and Democrats held out for months on a deal in hopes that they could go higher on a stimulus bill if they won the Senate. Unfortunately, they did and pretended after the election that they still had leverage when everyone knew they would have to go down on their demands.

The only reason they all even agreed to deal now was because they ran out of time and had no other choice but to go down on their demands. The Bipartisan deal gave them the perfect out to do that so they can go home for the holidays.

Millions of people lost everything they had on a deal they could have signed months ago had they all came down on their concessions. Now they can go home for Christmas while still getting paid in full and feel like they actually did their job.

This deal likely could have been done quite a while ago and would have helped. It also would have been early enough to get the GOP to run this deal back again.

Now it is too late for many people and it's too close to widespread vaccine distribution to get the gop to agree to anything. Dems need to sweep GA or people are SOL

Not true. The house passed a bill months ago that Mitch didn't bring to vote. This was a new bill and the only bill that Republicans would even bother looking at.

Breh that bill was DOA and never had a realistic chance of passing. That was a political ploy to try and one up the Republicans heading into the election. Both sides knew what it was which isn’t why it was never entertained.

Just because you craft a deal doesn’t mean that it has a realistic chance of passing.

So you are blaming the Dems for passing a better bill and Republicans unwilling to bring it to vote in the Senate?

When you say 'realistic shot of passing' all that means is you acknowledge the Republicans are completely worthless, so why are you playing both sides?

They are going to have to craft another bill next year with some bailouts for certain industries due, but it will the same situation as it is now if they don’t take control of the Senate.

If the Democrats don’t win both seats, then they might as well not even bother pretending they have any leverage. It will just time wasted when they will still have to end up caving into Mitch’s demands.

Because at the end of day, all Congress is about about is that green. Them cats will still get their bread in full regardless of whether a bill gets done or not. The government don’t give a fukk about the people, so I don’t know why some shills on here pretend that they still do.

And makes Nancy take a L in public opinion in that she looks like she caved in from her original demands (she did). Refusing to budge on the $600 unemployment and using as negotiating tactic for months, to only end up settling for $300 alone makes her look bad.

They all come out looking bad instead of one side getting one up on the other.

Nancy does take a hard L. They took that fossil heifer out back, and put it in her ass.. no Vaseline. Nancy played politics, lets keep it a buck. Bu she did what she felt she had to do in order to get Trump out of office. She thought if she agreed to a package right before the election, it would've bought Trump a shyt load more of votes. She might have been right. But she played politics in exchange for peoples' lives. That aint whoa.

You saying he "got out off" passing a bigger bill he didn't get out of anything he just refused to even vote on it:mjlol:
But somehow you spinning this as a Mitch win

He didn't want people getting ANYTHING...no stimulus, UI, or state funding

Only thing he prevented was state funding WHILE giving up liability protection(which is what he REALLY wanted:stopitslime:

We really gonna count this as a win for Mitch though??

He was going to have to pass something. He got out of a 3.4T deal and passed a 300B one. That's a win for him.

Who cares? Seriously. You think the wall is being built under Biden? It's more likely to be torn down lmao.

I hear you.. still fukked up that we cant give states the money to pay their government employees, but we can divert money for the wall?

This is the most that the GOP would agree on for right now. The Dems in the house passed a bill months ago that was worth double of what this is. Mitch never brought it to vote.

So either the Dems agree to the Senate bill OR this drags on into the new year and y'all still blame the Dems instead of blaming Mitch :manny:

That's why Georgia is so important but watch it be low turnout :francis:

It's been breaking run off turnout records every day since early voting began. Which is good for the dems. We gotta hope and pray.

How would you go about getting more out the deal? Dems don't have the Senate and likely won't. All I'mma say is Biden better be ready to pass whatever he can through E.O. because Mitch ain't agreeing to shyt..

Honestly, I dont know. I dont know what's what. I'm hoping that Biden's got an ace up his sleeve. He's got history with McConnell, and they've cut deals for over 20 years. Mitch actually named a law after Biden's son Beau, who died. Biden seems hella confident that he'll get stimulus pushed through. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. He's made it very clear that he's aware of the housing crisis, and the lack of funding for the American people. So maybe its stupid of me to put my faith in the man, but what other option do I/we have? He's the leader of the free world now. Or at least he will be. One thing that is bothering the hell out of me... I've watched damn near all of the press conferences with Nancy, and she keeps reiterating 'more will be done with the Biden administration' .. she keeps saying that as if its a fact. But unless the dems get those seats in Georgia... nothing's guaranteed. Even if we DO get those seats.. they're gonna need 60 votes to have anything pass. Kamala will make the vote 51-50 .. so they're still gonna need at least 9 republicans to sign off on any deal. I hope they have a plan.

Ahhh there it is. I was waiting for this. Thank you. You and I both know that if the Dems controlled all branches that the money would already be where it needs to be. Would it be perfect, hell no.. but it'd be out there is some form.

But instead of accepting that and acknowledging that the GOP is the root of the evil in Washington... you want to play both sides and now you are using the TLR special "shill" argument..

I think we're done here now. You made it clear where you stand

Mad people are having allergic reactions to the vaccine. We might not be as close as we thought. :francis:

The GOP should've modified it and sent back a counter proposal. They never did. They literally said that they wanted to take a wait and see approach, before sending anymore funds to the people.
