Whether or not he can actually do it is uncertain. It's never been tested before and certainly will be challenged in the courts with a prolonged legal fight, and could come with some hang-ups (like tax bills on the forgiven debt).

It can 100% be done by Biden. The stipulation would be that he’d only be able to wipe out, or minimize federal loans.

They kept employers from skating any legal issues due to Covid, Mitch took an L:ufdup:

And they got additional funding for states and extended unemployment benefits:ld:

Plus they got rid of some last minute bullshyt thrown in by Republicans to stop Fed funding for the President-elect:whew:

The states didn’t get any money. It’s fukked up. Republicans wanted no part of it. They kept calling it a ‘blue state bailout’ knowing damn well most red states need fiscal help too. Also knowing damn well that it’s the blue states that keep the country up and running.

Did you read this? It doesnt restrict the fed. The fed just cannot extend the existing program it can literally create a new one of a different name however with no problems. Even with changes and improvements.

That defeated the whole ass purpose of what they were trying to do. This is the Republicans caving, and getting NOTHING they wanted. Literally nothing except lowering the amount of the stim checks and UI money. But they lost on everything else. So yeah, this is worth it, especially as a freebie before Biden takes office and does more.

For the first part, it don’t work that way fam. They won’t be able to pass any kind of spending bill without senate approval. Mitch won’t approve anything that doesn’t directly benefit the GOP. :francis:

For the second part.. this bill was supposed to be for about 2.5 trillion dollars. They got it down to 900billion. That’s a win for them. They’re crying deficit now, but spent like drunken sailors while Trump was in office. Literally everything.. EVERYTHING that Mitch McConnell does is to harm democrats. Even if it does America good. If it helps democrats in any way, he’s vetoing it, or he won’t even bring up for vote. I GUARANTEE that if he would’ve brought up the original 3.3 trillion dollar cares act to the floor... even with all the bullshyt that Nancy Pelosi had included in it.. that it would’ve passed. Easily. It would’ve even gotten the Republican votes to go through, because of how desperate their constituents were for help. But he wouldn’t bring it up to vote. He’s got entirely too much power. And I don’t understand how he won his election again. With an 18% job approval rating in his own state. By his own constituents.

So you just bypass the whole reason the bill was held up in the first place?

You forgot your boy Mitch wanted legal protection for employers dealing with Covid well guess what he didn't get it:umad:

Should've just signed off earlier and saved lives:ld:

You’re right. He didn’t get the liability protection. But there’s only been roughly 24 cases due to coronavirus infections nationwide. In 8+ months. So he traded the ‘cushion’ of that protection (was more of a ‘cherry on top’ type request) for billions of dollars in state and local aid. Money for frontline workers.. firemen, doctors, nurses, sanitation etc) Mitch would make that trade all day long.

SMH at that shytty deal. There’s gonna be more stimulus needed so get ready to go through this again before the end of the year.

Republicans already made it clear that there won’t be another package. Since the vaccine is out, people can go back to work and everything can go back to normal. Completely disregarding the fact that the average American is roughly $5500 behind in rent. And that’s just rent. This is gonna get ugly when the eviction moratorium gets lifted.
