Name em...Just curious.
These are the ones i would say fit in the GREAT category

  • Jordan
  • Drexler
  • Kobe
  • Miller
  • Wade
  • Ray Allen

Okay fine i gave you 6

Honorable mentions:

These were on pace to be greats but injuries killed thier careers. Guys like Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, Allan Houston.

BINGO!!!

I've been watching the NBA since the late 80s and early 90s and i can count on 1 hand the SG's that i think deserve 1st ballot hall of fame induction.

Not sure why @Front 2 Back seems to think it's the case NOW.
With wade And Kobe it actually looked ok

But now since wade is :old: and Kobe is :old:

The position is :trash:

Agree with all the above...But Iverson has to be classed in with those dudes as well, IMO.

In a way, yes but i have a hard time puttin Iverson as an SG even tho he plays like it. Heck i still struggle with Dumars at SG because of his size but i hear ya. To some degree I still sometimes think of D-Wade as a PG because thats what Riley told us and thats what he played his first 3 years for us

half of those guys didnt play at the same time.

and alot of them arent exactly list-worthy either.

and some of them werent even SGs.

PG and SG has become a melting pot and it just comes down to personal preference, to what you class each individual player as. Iverson, Westbrook and Rose I could never look at as point guards...Their ways of how they go about scoring does not fit to what I think a PG's role is on the team. CP3 is a point guard through and through and when you watch him play, you would never confuse his play style with that of a Westbrook or Rose.

Wade is truly a tweener and has been his whole career, which is why he was and still is so efficient and dynamic as a player, even though hes slowing down. There's a reason hes so high on people's SG list...Because not many of them could score like he did while being extremely efficient and being a very good passer. You see it now, he picks his spots in scoring and passing...Just like a true PG.
