All jokes aside, the few times I have been to the South, they seemed pretty happy to me. :manny: As they say, ignorance is bliss :win:

I agree.. and i also added onto my post BTW.

But my point is some of you dudes that grow up in NY have this perception of the South that is flat out wrong. But i understand it's your ego, the need to feel good about yourself that encourages that. Most of you hear a southern accent and automatically assume you can deduct 100 IQ points.

Ive met cats from NY who barely finished HS acting like he thinks he's smarter/better than me and has seen more and has more knowledge of the world than me :rudy:. I had to remind that fakkit I 'm a college grad with an engineering degree and have traveled all throughout Europe and the Americas on business while his b!tch ass was riding the train

Everyone From Everywhere, Has A Perception Of Other People That Come From Somewhere Different

People In Their South Have Their Own Perception Of Northerners

And I Notice Americans Look Down On People With Foreign Accents Like Their Stupid

So There's Alot Of Finger Pointing That Can Go Around

The south has a cheaper cost of living than NYC, not sure about the other northeastern "big cities".

Otherwise, I don't see the appeal of down south over the Northeast :what:

if the cost of living wasn't a issue, whats the appeal of down south over Long Island, Westchester or suburban NJ? :why:

My parents praise down south like its some kind of earthly paradise or something :rudy:

Can't really play the crime card either, didn't those NC goons force Rick Ross to cancelled his concerts in that state? Not to mention shooting a blind man because they thought he was throwing up gang signs :snoop:

Its cool to vist NC for vacation for a couple of days, but live there? :shaq2:

 to your stupidity. That's talent right there. Your evidence to support NC is dangerous is a rapper with gang affiliations cancelling a concert in fear of his safety?

Did NC go thru a crack era? NY and your burroughs are crimes against humanity. You guys have rats for house pets. You guys don't own anything. Not even the toilets you piss in. See you down south after you 40 only with a dodge charger and some foamposites to your name.

Florida = NY..Most people in florida are immigrants who tried their luck first in New York and for whatever reason decided to move to Florida. Orlando alone is full of Ricans from NY.

SMH

Most move out of NY because it's not worth the pain of living in cold weather and having astronomical cost for a 500 sqfoot apt. Most of the people you are referring to are from warmer climates. Move to the U.S and hear of the hype of NY and move there.

Puerto Ricans are caribbean people. To they typical caribbean person who grew up in the caribbean 50 degrees is COLD. So dealing with sub zero temperatures of NY is a huge adjustment that may not be worth it.

NY is a beautiful city with worldwide appeal. But it's simply not for everyone so they move somewhere with warmer climate that is like what they are used to back home thus FLORIDA at a fraction of the price.

I didn't go into the reasons because I assumed they were self explanatory. Fact remains Florida and New York have a lot of similarities.

Here is the thing i can never understand about you NY heads

Ya'll claim

  • Police brutality is an issue up there and the cops get away with it every time
  • A black man can never get a cab in NY
  • Jews and Italians run the city

But nooooo. It's the South that's racist. I've been in ATL 7 years now and cant remember a white mayor or police chief

Cops in FL wouldnt dare pull sme of the shyt the ones in NY pull because they know they they're easy targets when sh!t hits the fan down there. Didnt Diallo's killers go free in NY? Bu bu but it's the south that's racist in unliveable.

Your need to feel superior clouds your judgement and perception of the south because you grew up in an ultra competitive environment which also encourages you to feel that two things that that are different cannot just be different and that one has to be superior. That is the baseline concept of RACISM and NATIONALISM and every ISM that is wrong with this wrold
Yea, low key NYers are kind of delusional because we have to be. Living up here is stressful as fukk... when you look at it all objectively it really doesn't make sense. I think a lot of the pride up here comes from nostalgia & the inability to admit how goofy shyt is up here.

NYC is not too bad aside from the NYPD but Boston is right up there w/the South in racism

Thats the thing though, cost of living IS an issue. Unless you are cool with renting and living in an apartment for the rest of your life :userious:

The cost of entry for a 3 BR place in NYC is like $350K. Rule of thumb is you cant buy a place for more than 3x your household income. Even in NYC 120K is lofty- and thats for both parents. Meanwhile you can move to NC and buy a house for 120K.

You ask whats in NC... whats in NYC???

Last time I checked people in southern Brooklyn, Pelham Bay and Eastern Queens all owned their cribs, even the blacks.

Last I checked

The 2010 black home ownership rate is about 5 percent lower than the citywide rate of home ownership — 31 percent — and about 18 percent lower the national black home ownership of 44 percent. In New York City, Asian householders had the highest rate of home ownership in 2010, at about 38 percent. White householders came in second, at about 37 percent. The data for Latino householders is not available.

I heard about that

I was once in Boston's airport waiting for a connection flight to London, UK. I walked into a restaurant (something Legal.. cant recall the name) and sat at the bar between two white people guys. Then a few minutes later this black dude came and sat next to me and we were talking and he told me he could tell i was not from Boston because a black man sitting between two whites like that in Boston is pretty much unheard of. :what:

It was weird to me because I live in the South where it's supposed to be supper racist according to these northerners and i sit and party with white folks with no problem

I don't agree or disagree with the article but being nice to someone does not equate happiness, that's just good manners. People are definitely more manner able in the South as compared to the North.

Yes, but you'll get paid significantly less in NC as opposed to NY. There are some people who were able to keep a high salary and move down South but a lot of times that's not the case.
