how exactly does this work in your mind, do you think there's a big piggy bank with a trillion dollars in it?

help me understand how we can begin to utilize this 1 trillion dollars, do we get all the Blacks on a conference call?

Obviously I do not think this. Everyone is entitled to do whatever they want with their hard earned money. I merely point out the fact of us amassing 1.1 trillion in spending power to discredit the presumption that we aren't capable of controlling the economics within our own company.

How do we utilize it?

Well sir, if we can get thousands of blacks to hold protests in their respective cities for Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown, why wouldn't we be able to put forth that same effort when it comes supporting black owned businesses.
If so called leaders like Al Sharpton can invoke thousands of blacks to descend on Staten Island in protest of NYPD brutality, why can't he encourage "thousands" of blacks to practice group economics?
The problem is that not only do we not put our energy into things that can invoke real change, we have leaders who are misleading.
When you get a people emotionally riled and charged, you can encourage them accomplish amazing things.
Group economics isn't being pushed as hard as it should. At every opportunity it should be pushed. If we want to promote something of substance to our people we have to be every bit as aggressive as those who wish to mislead our people for their own personal gain.

so now this is a gun control issue? Guns have been around for decades and they'll be around for years to come. And I would think most of the murders are perpetrated by individuals who are even allowed to own or legally buy a gun anyway.

exactly they are illegal guns which can't be traced to where it was purchasead which leads to more and more lawlessness
which is why the question 'where do the guns come from' is so pertinent

So why not fight for reparations via Education then?

doesn't that contradict the point in the last sentence? The whole point of us being self reliant is so that we don't have utilize our efforts for such fruitless tasks.
True redemption for the suffering and enslavement of our ancestors will be accomplish once we realize our true potential.

So you think withholding reparations helps?

I need solutions not excuses.

So why not fight for reparations via Education then?
It's 2014 and yall are asking for reparations. Does the Asian community ask for reparations for what the cacs did to them? Nope. They're busy creating businesses and voting. But please give reparations and see how far that gets us.

Why cant we do both?

Get our reparations and improve our community?

Is multitasking foreign to you?

Stop being a save a ho for white people who are benefiting from white privilege as we speak.

We have been forced to be here and been here since the beginning. No other group other than the Native Amercians can be compared to us.

Its quite naive for you to compare our situation to the Asians.

So somehow critiquing black America automatically makes me a non-African American.

I never said we shouldn't be taken seriously. Re-read what I said.

And yes I would think the fact that more than half of the murder victims in this nations should warrant something to the same degree as riots and protest.
You got artists, entertainers, and even the president speaking out against this brother, Michael Brown's death (which they should). Where were they when that 9 year old boy in Chicago was gunned down in his own backyard or that 2 year old girl in Inkster, MI was shot point blank in the head on her own front porch?
The lack of response is why they don't take us serious. And any rational human being can't possibly deny this.
No, you can critique all you want. Just wanted to get that question out the way to fully grasp your point of view.

And you're right you never said they shouldn't take us seriously. But do you think they should?

And instead of making it a generalized black issue why not analyze the specific issues concerning these areas where we are seeing the influx of murders? Because being black does not mean you are more likely to murder someone. Do you not think people are in these streets putting in work trying to save these kids?

We've got issues but I'll be damned if I'm letting the dominant society modern day lynch us and not say something about it.

Slow your roll there buddy.

Learn your history because Japanese americans got reparations:usure:

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese-American_Claims_Act

Then AGAIN in 1990,

"On October 9, 1990, a ceremony was held to present the first reparations checks. Nine elderly Issei received $20,000 each and a formal apology signed by President George H. W. Bush. Payments to surviving internees or their heirs continued until 1993..."

:comeon: I'm not comparing the severity of the two but I'm saying that they're not begging for reparations they're building their own communities.

Of course they arent asking for reparations. Their situation isnt as severe as us and the native americans. :comeon:

Where did I say that we shouldnt build our communities anyway.

We can get our reparations and build our community at the same time.

What exact reparations are you talking about?
Reparations for slavery.
