Africans should follow their blueprint
yeah South Korea is a amazing country...they went from nothing to something real fast
I remember hearing a story on how this American politician or some shyt looked at Korea when it was poor
and said that this country is doomed to stay fukked up forever
but as far as Afrikans go
South Koreans, like any other developed nation goes, have one great advantage that poorer countries,
especially Afrikan countries dont have, which is unity
unity is the single most important ingredient that a country that needs to succeed
everybody, or atleast the majority of the population, have to be on the same page, or else progress will stall
and the easiest way to achieve unity is for people to belong to the same ethnic group
Africa, being the most ethnically diverse place on earth, has become the most poorest, for that reason (amongst other reasons ofcourse)
And this is why South Korea succeeded....South Korea is known as the single race society because everybody in that country is the same
trueThe Koreans were also fortunate enough to be in a neighborhood with a lot of opportunities for trade. They also had the Japanese blueprint to follow, remember that the economic growth of S.Korea and Japan did not exactly follow the free market capitalism of the West. Hell the WB and others were quite skeptical about their policies because the state was involved in selecting companies to give money at low interest rates and also help with exports. The Koreans also benefited a lot from Japan, lets not forget that even in the 80s the Korean products were seen much like how Chinese technological stuff is viewed today, Japanese investment was quite crucial to their development and even when they went through the 90s financial crisis and was bailed out by the IMF the Japanese paid the bulk of the cost. Hyundai got its start building cars from Mitsubishi and they copied the Japanese model of selecting 12 select industries to develop. Africa , by contrast, has a different economic history. Many countries are landlocked and there really isn't any economic giant that can help develop industries like what East Asia experienced. The fact that they already had some education from inception is also important, certain African countries like DRC did not even have more than 50 people with degrees at independence.
East Asians are just naturally really smart but this thread kinda seems like a cac tactic to use koreans to make other races look bad.
