I'm riding with Spotify till the wheels fall off.

This frank ocean situation is what it is. Frank lost me as a fan. Not because he's getting Apple money, but because I can only listen to channel orange so often. Thanks for channel orange I guess. Let me know when I can access his new music.

The only way these companies can stay relevant is to create a program where the user is able to stream and download the offline mp3 file all for free. No need to charge monthly fees. Maybe, a one time payment is efficient but it should be really small. If the user likes the album(s) or the artist(s), then the user should have an option where they can donate money directly to the artist or to the record label.

Had Google play since it's been out. I had tidal a few months ago. For a few months. But once I switched my credit card, I didn't care to update them. To me Google play has the easiest and most intuitive interface. Tried Spotify but it was just okay to me. I wonder what's Google plays sales because they are hardly ever brought up

"A major reason why you buy XBox's, PS4's and Nintendo WII's is because you play games on them," says David Pakman, a venture capitalist at Venrock and former CEO of eMusic. "Right now, the current tactic [tech companies] are using to fight with each other is not features, it's content."

Sounds exactly like console wars to me

Fixed.

yep, and they actually had a good thing going where they got people to start paying for music again. now they take it too far, and people will just pirate that shyt

pandora and spotify seemed to co exsist at the same time and i dont remember any real issues at least in the public. both companies was eating. Apple, tidal and google getting into the game not only fukked it up with these exclusives but im sure making the cost of getting these songs to stream sky rocket fukking up the game for everyone else

then when this implodes 10 years down the line like everything else they touch, theyll blame everyone but themselves :dead:

because these dudes just can't accept that someone had a good idea before them. they see it, and it's like "hey, I can do that too." but then comes the question of how to differentiate your service from the rest. and the answer is all this exclusive shyt that wasn't part of the deal in the first place, and they end up fukking up a good thing

and yeah, when consumers decide that they don't want to sign up for 5 different services just to hear music, they'll turn around and blame the consumers

Grooveshark was the GOAT streaming service, it had everything you could think of free of charge. So naturally they had to sue it out of existence. Off the principle of that I haven't and won't sign up for any of these new services.
