The 67-win "while we're only sort of trying" 2016 Spurs are another level above the 1996 Sonics. The Sonics (and the Bulls too) feasted off of a double-expansion year that was just five years after the previous double-expansion year. They had a strong lineup, but their system on both sides of the ball was nothing compared to what the Warriors or the Spurs are doing.
If the Warriors and Spurs are healthy, I think this is the greatest meeting of two top teams ever. And if the Cavs are actually firing on all cylinders after that...
