Waiters, Adams as well have stepped their game up. the defense of OKC has been impressive outside of the 1st game. I still expect the Spurs to win game 6 and 7. Not sold on OKC closing out the series and can't see Duncan going out like this.
Yeah if the thunder don't win tonight I don't think they can beat Spurs 3 times at SA in one series.

no one thought they could even win one game in san antonio before this series started though.....:francis:
not only have they won 2 on the road, they have beat SA 3 out the last 4. who thought any team other than the warriors could do that ?

anything is possible in this series

Thunder had a 8.4 rebounding differential this season. Only the 73/75 Celtics and the 1950 Lakers were better :dame:

Going up against one of the goat rebounding teams yet Pop continues with that awful West/Diaw lineup :heh:

I'm surprised that Pop really hasn't done anything to counter this. It's weird. Although his rotations last postseason did leave a lot to be desired.

I know it's been 4 yrs, but i still cant get over how Miami gave OKC the beats when they had kd, russ, AND harden.

If the advance to play the Warriors, I just hope for a better series than that

They were young, like what 22 years old and their first nba finals against a team that was there the previous year and had a finals mvp. Imagine that team now tho...KD, Russ, harden, even Reggie Jackson as your back up. It would be a warriors thunder conference finals for the next decade probably

they just couldnt guard them. they only had kendrick perkins down low, and the heat went small and were spacing the floor with battier so ibaka couldnt protect the rim

bron had driving lanes all day, simply overpowering their defense. i hope okc can make it to the finals this year, but im not sure it would be any better. they still dont matchup well against this cav team, especially if they are going to keep going crazy from 3.

Over/under Tim Duncan scoring 10 or more points in an elimination and possibly last game of his career?

Pop gave up after the 2014 Finals :lolbron:

The GOAT called it before the start of last season -
We've come to that road again, when somehow the current Champions take this fairy tale-like form as if the rest of the league can only reach this unattainable faraway land with pastel crayons and a unicorn. The same regurgitated proverbial ball-phrases are thrown up, almost verging on excuses, trying to rationalize the irrational of how teams won't be able to beat them the following/upcoming season. It's as if true acknowledgement only occurs once they see said team fall in front of their very own eyes, despite reality giving them all the signals beforehand (tell all dem Heat fans I said wassup). This thread's just to let y'know that you don't have to wait, chewing on your ashy ass fingers in anticipation. I'm giving you this shyt ahead of time. Feel privileged. The Spurs' run is over.

Those wounds from 'everybody told us we're too old' and their 12/13 Finals loss were cauterized and have now healed. They've conquered those demons. There's nothing left to fight for. And I mean it's disingenuous to suggest that they aren't going to be driven to repeat, but I just can't see that same hunger being there. You add all those young, hungry, star-studded teams in the wild West into the mix and well..... you get the picture.
