These past 2 days have been a real eye opener. Ghana presented a resolution for reparations on March 18th and The US voted against it swiftly within 1 week. Yet Black Americans have been pushing the reparations conversation on social media since 2019 (7 years) and have gotten absolutely no response under 3 presidential terms. That says a lot. It's a message that says keyboard banging for years and marches aren't going to get a response. 7 years with no response from Black Americans while a UN resolution from a another country gets a "Hell No!" confirms that a different strategy is necessary for the resolution of reparations to be taken serious because the old strategy doesn't work.
They did it for themselves. Good for them I guess.
