i wouldn't say it's dying, but artists are now playing it safe and making music their own style/ way. older artists now adapting that sound as well.

Migos

Number one record in the country

:wow:

Yep, just like 50 Cent post The Massacre....gradual slope to obscurity. Cats believe that they gonna be listening to trap the same way in 2030 AD. :dead:

Real trap is expanding to the point of being the new international soundbed/standard for production.
The EDM cac offshoot isn't even doing what the drill influence has done all over the globe. Violence is the language of the downtrodden. Low frequencies excite people. (808s) Military drums excite people. (hi hat and snare rolls)
Minor chords put you in a state of tension. (zaytoven, chop, metro)
It's powerful. It's easy to get good at, it's loud. It ain't going anywhere.
:demonic: :blessed:
At the same time in music form.

No, this is not the same vibe or template. You a square.

But why so many mumble rappers blowing up from this? You a MC and it seems like you wasted years off of skill for nothing, since unskilled cats get props for the producer work.

I'll say something.. there's a number of trap producers that have been and will be on point for awhile... new legends.

Metro
Southside
TM
Zaytoven (been a legend)
Mike Will Made It into his 6th, 7th year of relevancy... that's as long as the RZA was consistent (not to that level)

Trap Music is into it's 10th year at the top of the game easily... it might not always be so big but it will be around, get used to it.

Oh even "RnB" songs are basically trap music. You can take things from trap music and turn them pop - Hotline Bling, Fake Friends

I produce and I work with a semi known trap producer.
I rap because I'm nice. What I do and what potential clients do are different.
Also, a lot of them can really rap.
Melody is a skill. Flows are crazy now.
Name a new rapper who can really rap that talks about street shyt doing numbers.
Ain't none.
Black Beatles was number 1.
Bad and boujee is #1 now.
No Roc machine. No interscope.
No kissing babies at protests.
No subliminal diss songs at convenient times...just hot tracks and a viral vid.
