If your bad first consist of mainly candy then yeah

but You can easily be in a calorie deficit most days eating McDonald’s and kfc
And in a few hours you gonna want something else to eat.

What’s the point of bothering with a half measure? If your goal is health or fitness you’d be better off making your own burger at home for less calories than McDonalds.

A medium Big Mac meal has 1080 calories with 65 grams of sugar. On a 2000 calorie diet that’s half.

How many hours will it take to burn that up vs how long it would take to eat it?

“Bad” is too broad term

Some aspects of “bad” impact people differently

So you telling me that McGriddle is gonna fill you up for 1/3 of your day? In a few hours after eating just that it's gonna be time to eat something else.

People are here making disingenuous arguments. You can't outwork a bad diet. You can eat some bad foods and get away with it but if your full diet is bad you'll be in the gym spinning your wheels and making next to no progress because you can eat in a few minutes what it takes hours to burn off.

There's a reason people in the know say weight loss and maintaining a proper weight are 90% diet. You don't have to workout at all to lose weight you can just eat properly and lose or maintain a healthy weight. You can spend hours in the gym working out and if you eat like trash make no progress at all.

I disagree. The problem is I’m fit and know a lot of fit people. I also know some very fit people with health problems. Sometimes it could be hereditary or genetics. Others times even when you look good on the outside. What you eat can contribute to the inside.

Calories in and calories out. To gain weight you gotta consume more food than you would if you’re trying to maintain. To lose weight you gotta eat less than what you eat when you maintaining your weight. Dudes like Floyd Mayweather with high metabolisms who train 8-12 hour days is like Michael Phelps he use to consume over 10k plus calories when he trained for the Olympics because his body need that extra fuel when you training that hard everyday. You know how hard it is to eat 10k plus clean calories a day when you only do when you training. They bodies not conditioned like the bodybuilding dudes to eat like that. So they gotta take shortcut make their calorie needs. So if they can get a 2k calorie breakfast from pancakes with a bunch of syrup and big cup of milk they gonna take that every time instead of trying 2k calories outta oatmeal, protein powder and egg whites.

I work out regularly but at the same time I pretty much eat what I want. I don't do much sugar though.
