Lots of gems in this thread :salute:

Thoughts on the VW Atlas (used)? I've been looking at the 5 series BMW but my '10 Accord still gets the job done and not having a car pymt is :ohlawd:

Master VW/Audi Tech here (working on Lexus master certification), what'd you need to know? Ask away.

I like my truck (which is a VW) but paying 475 per month annoys me, I would take this, all it needs is remote start and a sound system. Only issue would be speed (ability to pass a car on the highway) and safety features.

I rented an Atlas for a week around Xmas time. I drove from DC to Atl to Louisiana. Very impressed. Great ride, a lot of room.

Do you research on its reliability is all i would do.

Was gonna look for Super Bowl deals.

Have a 08 Avalon that has 203k and running good. Paid for. Dude at the shop was like “that thing will hit 250k easy” :ehh: Plus I don’t drive a lot. I got my girls SUV if going out.

Never had a car note but finally want something newer. Anyone tell me about the Jeep Renegade? I want an SUV that doesn’t look like a damn minivan. Something boxy but not expensive.

🤮 breh if you get a jeep at least get a Grand Cherokee, Wagoneer, Wrangler or Gladiator. Models like the one you picked out are just shyt trucks. Also be prepared for any jeep to give you headaches when it comes to maintenance.

It's always wild to me how brehs somehow leave off Porsche.

Nothing like them when it comes to driving :wow:

Tell me the last time you seen a Porsche commercial :wow:

If you know you know if not :yeshrug:

i don't disagree i just rarely see them brought up in the luxury convo and to me they got the best driving experience plus a high enough lux level, where it's not even close compared to some of these other brands.

the cayenne only becomes worth it once you move into the higher trims. the base trims are aimed at white soccer moms. once you move up you get the sportier transmissions etc

a macan is basically a 911 with 2 extra seats. not the most space in the backseat but who the fuk cares when you can take corners like jeff gordon in a suv
the turbo or gts :wow: :mjcry:

I'm of the belief that half of the Cayenne buyers would be better suited in a Touareg, but VW discontinued it in the US -- THAT was a nice/unique vehicle with a bunch of engine options. Not the cheapest to maintain but...it did have 539 miles of range in diesel form. :manny:
They make a high end tiguan with a more powerful engine and the touareg had v8, v10 and v12 engine options at one point. VAG doesn't want to hurt their Audi sales though with the Q5 and Q7 though, that's why the discontinued it and don't offer the nicer tiguan in america.

If you're interested in a Tahoe sized vehicle -- the Tahoe/Suburban are your best bet. Land Cruiser/LX570 are super reliable but cost a ton, and don't have a noticable space advantage over the Tahoe. Same applies to the GX460. Expedition is :scust: :camby:due to shytty engine (3.5 Ecoboost), but it does have more interior space since the seats fold flat into the floor.
Those Lexus trucks were the shyt in the 90s going into the early 2000's but suck now, I mean they are reliable and all that just boring and behind the times, also that chassis is old as fukk. Surprised about the expedition, I actually prefer those over the Tahoe, that ecoboost feels faster with the turbocharger, you can also turn that off and save gas.

I drive a Cherokee. I’d recommend that over this car. I’m just buying time until I get me a Jeep Wrangler or something I can pull the top off of. This car is perfect for teenagers and college students lol
