It's a dangerous mindset to have, because people like that saying things like that are why a lot of men believe they have no chance at really being I their child's life and just don't even fight. They just accept being a weekend fun parent. Men need to stop believing the nonsense. It is VERY EASY AND REALISTIC to get 50/50 custody of your kids, it's not even that much of a fight.

I’ve been dealing with a situation getting my kid and not saying every obstacle has been put in my way to prevent getting custody but I’ll be damned if the institutions that are suppose to assist aren’t doing what they’re supposed to. It’s bad when a national children’s hotline gives assistance and warns you that you’re gonna have a hell of an uphill battle strictly because of your gender. A lot of these CPS and courts have serious hesitation when it’s the father coming in front of them. I know I’ve dealt with situations where they’ve even questioned what I and plenty other social workers thought was abuse just because it wasn’t completely physical and was more psychological, intimidation, and verbal abuse. I’m for certain if the roles were reversed, every mechanism in the system would’ve vilified my black ass

Then that system is fukkin stupid cause there's no way they're asking mothers those same questions since they get the benefit of the doubt in a majority of these cases. Do you have physical or joint legal custody?

Both, I have full medical and educational rights as well as a 50/50 split on time(in reality when I put it on paper he spends more time with me). It wasn't like that at first(didn't have my own place immediately after my divorce) but I got it like that once I got all my ducks in a row. Wasn't even that hard(my ex wife also helped me out by being an idiot as well).

Hate to say it, they don't believe fathers a lot of the time. They think the men just want joint custody to get out of child support. The law in Texas is 50/50 unless there is a circumstance that says otherwise.

Don’t it feel good when they screw themselves over? My first priority was getting my kid. She’s a teen now so the court has so far supported her decisions which shocked me cause the first social worker got removed cause like you said, this bytch was making me jump through all kinds of hoops. My saving grace was signing the birth certificate and some other things cause my biggest fear was being on some type of amber alert system. The part that irked me the most was getting CPS workers who didn’t even know the law. I had a couple from TX Im cool with walk me thru what to expect. They know their shyt. One was from the state the kid was living in at the time. The absolute worst office from the county to the state. They were contradicting each other when I’d call.

They don't care about children growing up in a stable two parent household and would much rather a single mother raise the children or she continues to try and make it work with the father who she's incompatible with and will continue to argue with in front of those kids.

They'd rather see them break up get back together again break up and get back together over and over, or else be like will Smith and his wife.

We can see how "normal" those kids turned out to be.


Social media has people acting like eternal college students or teenagers. Grow up.
