You really think people aren't gonna go back to shop and eat out :comeon:

I live on a golf course and see groups of people playing golf every day. I see people out running and on their bikes. Restaurants here are still open, they are just doing take out. shyt is not gonna completely collapse bro.

A ton of these restaurants doing takeouts are gonna be gone. This is the industry I'm in, casual dining. My kids' mom's job is doing takeout and they have two weeks to survive, as even doing abbreviated takeout orders means you have to slash payroll and staffing and you're not making enough money; her entire management group got an email that they and about 100 other units nationally (which is about 15% of that chain's units) are at risk of being permanently shuttered and they've been doing takeout only for weeks...

These service jobs have had to modify their hours AND operations, all these places you see open doing takeout are running with skeleton crews to try to squeeze a profit. Why do you think unemployment claims have skyrocketed?

I would guess most of these restaurants will survive, particularly the larger brand chains. But many of these chains are gonna close hundreds, if not thousands, of low performing units nationwide, and the mom and pops? A ton of them are going under. The longer this goes on the worse it is for these service industries (if this ended tomorrow a grip of them are finished anyway) that people take for granted, don't be fooled because you see some open restaurants lol...

Can ya'll stop with this 'permanent social distancing' thing? I hear that everywhere.

No one is going to avoid small groups after we've all been vaccinated. That's some PTSD shyt, founded on emotion :heh:
This thing exposing a lot of people as panicking bytches. All these other virus situations and until a few weeks ago business was going normal but these online hermits talking about not leaving the house smh. These dudes weren’t leaving the house before this.

Disagree with the baby boom theory. This isn't WW2 or the Great Depression where people were ordered on lockdown; specifically WW2 where people were working to support the war effort and fighting. Between the rise in divorces and domestic violence globally, we are going to see similar here.

Post lockdown, we are going to see a different society. In a variety of ways. I don't think we'll be headed back to what we knew as normal.

if the government gives the kind of bailouts they gave servicemen after ww2 there will be plenty of babies born which would create a paradigm shift that would probably move the country forward 100%.

shortened work weeks, etc...but that really only comes with money and necessity of the moment. Neither one of those is compatible with this President or the current congress. We ain’t even got those checks yet and there’s over 6 million unemployed :francis:

The closure of the economy, specifically service and retail, based on incomplete data and politicians one upping each other has been catastrophic. 6M filed for UI so far. That's not counting those who are self employed or freelancers.

The work-from-home thing makes sense. But it doesn't apply to every industry.

Restaurants and retail will obviously bounce back. The industry will. But there will be thousands and thousands of restaurants that went bankrupt and closed down.. The ones that do will probably be rewarded - less competition. Plus, people will be itching to dine in for the first time in months.

It will be a good industry for owners, but tough as hell for the workers. There wont be as many jobs. But the economy won't be strong enough for investors to sweep in and open up new restaurants. So, like I said, the restaurants that do survive will :eat::eat::eat::eat:

Things will creep back to normal, but I don't think the economy will ever be as strong as it once was. The modern world has always been a ticking time bomb, and we'll experience other disruptive events - wars, recessions etc.

China will supercede the US as the number one power.

They'll get bolder and start touching us up :dame:

Maybe 20-30 years from now, theyll be makin the same type of investments in America they make in Kenya.

After what China has done to the world, they fukked up royally. Please believe these cacs in power and with money aren't gonna let that shyt go down again.

Only thing that should change is people should wear masks everywhere like in Asia

Just that factor really stemmed the tide for them

And nothing is going to happen to China, unless someone figures out a place that produces more at a cheaper rate

bron, Stephen and Klay gonna be in China this summer
