Belgium looked like France 4 years ago. Went down a goal, no sense of urgency, complacent with possession, offense was predictable and in the end its another 1-0 loss at the world cup knockout round. I said it before and I'll say it again, Deschamps is lucky he has the talent of this squad. He continues to show nothing but his horrible teeth.

Technically good game but not the most entertaining. It looked like an early season game of Tottenham vs. Liverpool and it makes sense because there were so many Premier League players on the pitch. I'm pretty sure the entire first 11 of Belgium are in the premier league or have played in the Premier League other than Wistel.

The best games are when teams from different regions play because you get the clash of styles. Not this glorified West Ham v. Brighton game. There wasn't even any emotion showed by Belgium players after they lost.

Hazard was dangerous first half. Hopefully we (Chelsea) can ransom him to Real Madrid and get like 150m euros for him and Courtois.

I think Croatia v. England will be a lot better.

Pogba MOTM
It wasn't just the passing...he commanded that mid...he and Kante minimized KDB (who was the only bright spot for Belgium with Hazard) helped turn Lukaku into a slow, helpless piece of driftwood.

When I start seeing players direct their team with their play AND their communication....I think in this tournament we saw Pogba be much more than a good midfielder...we saw him become a leader.
