Can't really give Varane and/or Umtiti too much credit tbh.

France sat back and had Matuidi, Kante and Pogba sat right in front of them. There was virtually no space.

Hard to criticise Lukaku, this wasn't a striker's game.
these Hurricaine stans looking for any reason to get at Flukaku

we might return to them autoglass days. :sadcam::sadcam:

You mean the Zola, Wisey, JFH, Desailly, CFC days? :banderas:

I'll be honest and say I don't think Hazard is going to stay at Chelsea. He might angle for a move. I don't think Courtois will stay either. They've both been linked to Real Madrid over the years. The injection of cash and huge vacancy that Ronaldo just created in their team would make it a viable move for them. My problem with Hazard though is while he is professional in his relationship with Chelsea, he doesn't give his all on the pitch anymore.

Might as well cash in on them and restructure the team with some young prodigies. :manny:

The team as it is currently structured isn't competing with Man City and possibly the other top tier teams. Crazy to think what could have been with Hazard, KDB, Salah and Lukaku still at the club. Would arguably be the best attack in all of football.

You mean Modrić and that other guy from Barcelona? :mjpls:

Yep, it’s coming home :blessed:

You mean a perennial team of the year UCL champ Luka Modric and multiple La Liga and UCL champ Ivan Rakitic?

against...who?

A talented yet fragile Deli Alli and Jordan-fukking-Henderson? Literally I cannot think of a more milquetoast footballer than Jordan Henderson...he might as well be named "Default Player".

One of those sides has one of the best performing midfields in the WC...another doesn't. And while I think Sterling and Kane are x-factors...it doesn't mean anything if they can't get the ball...you saw what happened to Lukaku today.

The match is won in the middle of the park. I know the England brehs are optimistic and excited...but don't sleep on this Croatia team. :sas2:
