the "you suck" Kurt Angle chant last night proved something very telling about the WWE audience...

I see a lot of kids at the shows still. Kids dressed up like Cena or wearing New Day shirts or little girls dressed as Sasha and Bayley. WWE has the ability to draw in the younger viewer but they don't have the ability to KEEP THEM. Mainly because they push their own agendas.

That's the main problem. I admit, I have a sickness. I will probably always check for wrestling (though I have scaled way back). Most people won't. These kids will grow up and then say "hold up, this shyt fukking sucks :cousins: " and then they move on to something else.

Kids attend the live events but they are not watching Raw like that. What kind of degenerate parent is letting their kid stay up til 11pm on a Monday? My little niece loves WWE but she only needs to watch once a month to be into it, and when they come to down she goes every time. I be like "you heard New Day lost the titles?" and she hits me with the ":manny: I I like their owl"

This is so TRUE. I remember being in 5th Grade (2007) and everybody was a WWE fan, fast forward 10 years later and mostly everyone I know stopped fukkin with it and the number one reason is that "It's not the same any more" or "It's boring" both of which are true statements. Another thing is that a lot of people are just not fukking with the current crop of wrestlers, that's why when guys like Goldberg and Taker comes back, the public interest in WWE goes up. WWE just hasn't been able to create that next star. They tried to do it with Roman but he will never get a good reaction.

shyt, I still watch RAW and even then I don't get that same feeling that I did back then. It's become more of a chore and I spend more time looking at the Raw thread than I do the actual show.

It's also very telling that most TSC posters were looking forward to the Angle HOF announcement than any of the current storylines :pachaha:

There is toooooooo much programming. It repels casual fans. If a magazine comes to your house once a month you will be able to keep up with it monthly. If someone sends you a humongous book looking like this

every week, you are gonna hit it with the :camby: and not even bother trying to keep up

Nah, those aren't the main reasons. Cats just "grow up." They get interested in other things or feel that because it's "fake" it's not even worth watching. It's just like cartoons and action figures when you're a kid.

it shows that the Attitude/Ruthless agression era fans are STILL the ones attending live shows, and watching the product, but yet, at these shows they are damn near sitting on their hands most of the time because there's not a whole lot to cheer or boo these days.

But yet, a dudes theme song comes on for the first time in over a decade and ppl go crazy. Not even for him in person....just for his theme song.

Vince should be concerned about that going forward.

Post GOATsso, wrasslin has only lost viewers

I turned 55 a couple weeks ago.

Funny though, my grandkid whos 10 came to visit and we were watching talking smack .Noticed Dolph was a bad guy, and actually knew what a heel and face was.I was :ohhh::mjcry::jbhmm::mindblown: All in one.
Not even bullshytting when I say this, but it would be dope for you to do an AMA about wrestling from your point of view. Would be :wow: to hear about a lot of shyt in history from a TSC breh's perspective.

Sometimes people like what they like as kids, and then they get 17-21 and discover alcohol, weed, hoes, etc and get into what their peers are into, then boomerang back into what they liked as kids around 28-29.

Yeah, I know because that's me. I started back up in my mid 20s. But it's not like that for everyone.

So true. I know for a fact a good amount of my friends stopped watching when Rock and Austin stopped being full time, and popped back in when The Rock hosted WM29(?) to set up the next WM. Then they went away and came back when Goldberg popped back up :lolbron:
