I see your point. Millenials, Xers and Boomers probably spend a lot of time on YouTube watching talented people. The Zoomers and younger are the streaming and reaction channels primary audience. In the long term, they’ll probably reverse it to cater to the younger generations viewing habits.

Reaction videos are low effort content. It’s literally taking other people’s content and commenting. Some people at least try to add something to their videos but a lot of them are absolute garbage.
Also by monetizing the reaction vids it's probably taking away revenue from the original creators.
