The thing is I thought ppl were paid because their content generate revenue and clicks. It’s not like they’re salary it’s basically comission. They only get paid if they produce money and YouTube gets a cut.

If that’s the case why does the type of content matter as long as ppl are watching?

Because when the market gets flooded with too much slop the overall value plummets. When a million nikkas create channels where they type a brief description into an LLM and use a fake voice it fukks up the money for everyone, both YouTube and it's creators

Why are diamonds expensive? Because the owners of the diamonds control the amount released to the public. If all diamonds were available to the public they'd be worth as much as salt

The vids were just a chick with nice titties sitting there and summarize another video in a monotone voice. Thumbnail with cleavage. Would get tens to hundreds of thousands of views. They banned that a few months after it took off.
