I been on thecoli/SOHH since 2007--15 years, b.

I was in college and I used to get new music from new artists on SOHH, the blog era, MySpace.

Pac Div, Cool Kids, Curren$y, that first Kid Cudi tape was amazing, I remember the first time learning about Jay Electronica, etc., etc.

Now, all ya'll do is cry about "violence in music" ("RAP IS CRAP") or it's the same artists being posted...I'm tried of it

The Booth has been the worst forum outta the Big 6 for years now



Didn't we open registration? Where's all the new lil nikkas?

of course theres great music out there... but its so much work and so dense that the cream doesnt rise to the top like it used to. peoples tastes are way different too. and theres no regionalization of music either, the internet turned the whole world into a melting pot, which seems like a good thing but really it just means everything pretty much sounds the same

personally im tired of 'wavy' sounding drugged out beats. maybe if every rapper wasnt a drug addict hawking luxury brands more flavor could come thru. if you look up lyrics from a lot of these new cats it reads like a shopping list for jewelry, clothes, drugs, and sexual acts. shyt is corny to me

but i admit im old and out of touch so fukk it.
who cares what i think anyway... if you fw it, enjoy it

Its funny TheBooth used to be the spot for hip hop and the nucleus for alot of hip hop/black culture internet trends back in the day.

But now TLR has taken over that spot. TLR is definitely the star of this website now. Which is cool. What has really happened is.

The youth dont fukk with music forums like that anymore. If you want to find new shyt you go to places like Tik Tok and Reddit now.
