I'm curious about the interpretations of the scriptures. Also, if the Qu'ran is suppose to be the final word of Allah, why don't christians acknowledge, and subsequently follow that religion?

The quran was revealed to the prophet to correct the tampered with bible(what we all have.)

Also, another interesting point. On Saint Peter's chair, it states "There is no god but allah". Don't believe me, look it up for yourselves. :leon:

thats more jewish/islam than christian/islam

christains also believe in multiple gods which defies #1 of the original 10 commandments
muslims are steadfast about there only being ONE GOD who has NO EQUALS and NO RIVALS..

christians are supposed to fast (all of them) however its not as organized as ramadan

contrary to popular belief its is NOT required for women to cover in islam.. this is more of a culture issue picked up from eastern countries but has evolved into a sign of modesty and purity.. think of nuns, same thing

so glad this hasnt turned into a mud slinging hate fest ..big up

I believe it was pride at the beginning but mostly ignorance now. When Muhammad first received revelation he was expelled from Mecca and went to Medina. He was excepted there because the Jews of the city recognized him from their scripture.

Even in the New Testament...
John 16:12-13 said:
I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
This is believed to be speaking of Muhammad.

also what other gods do christians believe in?

christians go all year without mentioning isaac at church.. look to your left and ask a christian how isaac effects christianity.. then look to your right and do the same.. both christians will most likely be like "huh.. i dont know- i think they were brothers- oh wait na that was kane n able".. u know why??? because its the "old" testament and we KNOW they aint paying much attention to that Book..
NOW.. do the same with 2 jewish fellers.. they'll prolly talk u to def about it and make sure u understand just who in the f--k isaac really was

to answer your 2nd question.. they seem to think God n jesus are one and the same.. oh wait cant forget the holy ghost.. thats 3 to start.. then u got catholics praying to different saints for protection.. fukk it dont they say "were all created in his image"? so where do they draw the line? idk

I've read 3 different versions of the Bible cover to cover and never saw the word "trinity" appear once. God being one appeared a bunch of times though.

well the first part you have there can be said about any person who follows religion but not because they know it by heart but because they are just followers of something they see as trendy

but if im not mistaken alot of christians actually do know the old they just dont get into it to much because they dont follow the old law they believe in the new covenant

catholics and christians arent the same people either but as far as christians go alot of them do believe god is god and jesus is god in the flesh on earth and the holy spirit is the word of god the holy trinity but that isnt making them 3 different gods

what versions have you read? folks tend to think that there are verses that show how the trinity exists even though you say trinity doesnt pop up letter for letter

I get different answers from different Christians with regards to the Old Testament.

However, I found this in the New Testament:
Matthew 5:17 said:
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

This would lead one to believe that the Old Testament should be valid to followers of Christ.

The Old Testament offers some damaging blows to the trinity though. For example:
Isaiah 43:10-11 said:
Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

i know.. the real question is: how did they fool so many people into believing it

yes but isaac is from the old test breh; my initial point to U
all christians believe jesus was/is god and thats enough to lump them into one group.. its common sense breh; did jesus create himself? or did God create him? whos worthy of worship the creator or the creation? theres only one way to answer that and allow common sense to remain part of the argument

Atheist for Jesus
ON the trinity.
The word trinity isn't in the bible BUT it does describe the relationship and JC, God and the holy spirit are one...but also different...but also one.

Sorta like God says he's the alpha and the omega. Can't be both the beginning and the end and yet there it is.

If you believe in the bible, i.e. christianity then you believe in the supernatural, if you believe in the supernatural then why limit your understanding of an all powerful being to your ideas of what that all powerful being is and what he can do, or be.

On allah...
God Allah - Does It Mean God?

Catholicism...
I don't get down with human worship, it's not biblically founded...so yeah.
Allah means God.

Fasting...
Christians still fast...though it's not required.

the First Council of Nicaea called by Constantine in 325 is really what ruined Christianity and turned it into the complicated mess that it is today... that's where they had a pow wow and decided that Christianity was going to consist of a Trinity and instilled Easter and other Pagan traditions into Christianity

Christ told anyone who would listen that he wasn't God, but rather that he was a prophet... it wasn't until later that Christianity claimed his divinity... nowhere in the Bible does Jesus (pbuh) say "I am God."
