Yeah, Black people need to stop raising money for these large-scale projects without being 100% certain they can present at least a minimum-viable product for supporters to try out.
Or even conducting market research to determine if that's what people want. Why exactly are you even trying to compete with Amazon? Can't you use amazon???

I hate to be :mjpls: , but trying to run a quality grocery store is always going to be a challenge the way things are in our communities. You'd have to have a big group, or an individual with big pockets willing to put in the time and money to make it work.

Agreed. Big-time grocery stores have razor-thin margins. Not profitable unless you can scale up.

Target/Walmart do well because they sell a lot of other things besides groceries.

We have black corner stores but big time, full service grocers...not as much. Like you said, gotta have some serious $$$ to get that going. If you have serious $$$, you'll likely spend it in other ways.

How many independently owned stores are there? Not very many. Corporations have the game on lock.

The only way you can survive as an indie is if you own an ethnic store that specializes in products that you can’t find at big Super Markets.

Not much of a market for native born black or white Americans.

Yep. Big supermarkets have one lane while specialty stores are something different. Like a big Korean mart, African food stores, Super Mercados/Carniceria's etc.

Black Americans and white Americans....we eat the same shyt but just cook it differently (Mac N Cheese & potato salad being good examples of this).

I had an idea to have produce trucks that bought from black farmers in the south and drove into food deserts to sell good directly to people that needed it the most. Those trailers with the flip out sides. Have them sell right off the truck fresh. You could have meats and produce.

you can ship meat, with produce its a lil different. Tomatoes lose half their flavor once they are refrigerated.

Black Farmers consolidating their offerings and setting up value-added production, imo is the only way we are going to make this thing work. Selling to grain elevators is good work, but letting half of that farm turn into wildlife, private hiking trails/campgrounds, and then using the other half to produce artisan flour and other grain products. Thats the way.
