I'm sitting up here reliving some memories on NBADraft.net , ya know, just peepin some old drafts to see who I predicted correctly (Jimmy Butler) and who I got wrong (Josh Selby
) and I get to the 2010 draft and start scrollin down with the
look on my face cause half of these dudes I don't even know anymore. 2010 was just 5 years ago and only 20 players survived from this draft. 17 in the 1st round and only 3 from the 2nd round.
I thought these 1st round rookie deals were like 4 years long with an option after like the 3rd season? How is it that only 17 players out of 30 1st rounders are still around after only 5 years and only 20 players total out of 60 survived to this day? If not for the reemergence of Hassan Whiteside, that number would be 19. Is this the low-key WOAT draft or is this normal for draft classes to average bout 20+ keepers?
The best player from this class is probably Demarcus Cousins but the only 2 players out of the 60 who've had any notable success are Paul George and Lance Stephenson, whom made the conference finals twice with the Pacers. John Wall has underachieved thus far and Wesley Johnson was my biggest disappointment
The Association is cut throat brehs
