Affordable means different things to different people.

I could buy a 2016 911 Turbo in cash today if I wanted to, but I still don't feel like I could actually afford it, if that makes sense.
To me its quite simple what affordable is and your view on it is how I look at it. You can technically buy the car but if you can't buy it and do all the requisite stuff while not feeling some type of financial burden you can't afford it IMO. Its no need to make it harder than that but some must for some strange reason

There is nothing wrong with wanting a more expensive car. If you have the money for it, go for it! I think a corolla is a great buy or something along those lines. I'd get one to save money because I don't make that much now. If my paper was right, I'd definitely get a bmw or a Benz.

You're looking at it from a purely functional perspective. In that lens you're right. But people buy cars for a ton of other reasons (stunting, speed, etc)

Nah I ain't talking about nikkas copping two year old luxury cars off auto trader or I would've said that (which its nothing wrong with either). I'm talking straight brand new from the dealership when they copped the car type shyt so bold doesn't fit for this discussion on top of not spending half their money either.

I agree with the thread shaming part but its moreso for me cause it usually is coming from guys that truth be told can't afford a luxury car even if they wanted one. When that's the case as it is most times these things come up I look at dudes a little suspiciously. Its just hard not to esp when IRL people that have the money to comfortably do this (and some that aren't comfortable lol) aren't on the well see you should save and blah, blah, blah. The person telling you this savings stuff is also not caked up most times so why would I take advice from them anyway on getting/saving money?
U stay getting bent out of shape about nikkas shaming living beyond one's means though. What do you consider the baseline for being able to afford a luxury car? Having the $$$ to pay the note?

The majority of people spend less than 1 hour a day in their car, total.

It just gets you from point a to point b, just get a reliable brand with a solid warranty packaged with it and has decent modern technological toys.

Leather? Why? Clothe is just fine. Again, most people spend less than 1 hour a day in their car.

I'm basically saying there is no reason for anyone to get anything other than a modern toyota corolla:

2016-toyota-corolla-front_10677_032_640x480_040.png

MSRP: From $17,300
MPG: Up to 30 city / 42 highway
Curb weight: 2,800 to 2,875 lbs
Horsepower: 132 to 140 hp
Fuel tank capacity: 13.2 gal

Everything you need. Reliable. Fuel efficient. Roomy. Good features for good price. Resale value very high. What else do you need. :manny:

Please explain to me otherwise.

I hear where you're coming from breh, but let's be real there's a vanity component when it comes to buying cars and rightfully there should be. It's the 2nd or 3rd largest purchase you're going to make in life you really should put more thought into it than just Point a to Point b for the lowest possible amount of money. I don't mean "you" as in you I mean "you" in the general sense, btw.

Personally, if it doesn't have enough torque to pass on the highway, or a moonroof, or hid headlights, or good speakers, I can't fukk with it.

With the way cars and technology are becoming one it doesn't make sense to spend so much on a luxury vehicle. Chevy cruz's and and shyt got better shyt than some luxury models at half the price. You buy a brand new lexus and 2 years later all the new cars got some hot technology that make ya car outdated that quick.

but when that CE light is flashing and you gotta pay $200 just to hook it up to their machine, and then you find out it's gonna be $1,100 to fix some issue that would've only cost $200 on a Nissan or Chevy, them panties falling ain't gonna help you. :usure:

This is true

But the Cruze still drives like a Cruze

Still gonna skruggle to leave nikkas from a light n pass on the highway. And will be loud and cramped.

I think there is still some legit reasons to buy luxury cars. U just feel different in them. That doesnt justify the stupid shyt people do financially to get in em tho
