Best RnB albums of last year were IMO
1. Jeremih
2. Miguel
3. Kehlani
4. Ty Dolla
5. The Weeknd

According to metacritic they would rank
1. Miguel
2. Kehlani
3. Jeremih
4. Ty Dolla Sign
5. The Weeknd

I've yet to really get into these new dudes Bryson Tyler, Terry Lanez or whatever their names are.
Weeknd has higher potential than just about all of them but he's not been going all the way on a full project (although this was a nice 3.5-4 mic album) since he dropped 3 classics in a row.

Some evidence

RnB in worse state than hip-hop

:francis:
It's doing well, no one has not taught you how to understand modern R&B.
We even got white boys, Canadian immigrants, former hobos and Indians dropping heat now, there are full albums for everyone out there.

Not to mention the god D'angelo probably dropped the album of the year in any genre last year, you probably didn't like that either though :leostare:

:mjlol: Tory lanez being new. You no different than females & lazy listeners by grouping him in that category

There is more R&B and soul music than is played on the radio. Soundcloud does more for the genre than major labels do. I've still got the Rashad album in heavy rotation and that shyt came out like a month ago, not one mention here.
