the never defunded the police tho my guy. In fact Adams may have RAISED that shyt lol
That's what people don't realize. The most heavily-policed areas tend to be some of the MOST crime-ridden ones as well.

:snoop: I’m fukked up in the head right now. I’m crying and shyt. As some of you guys know I was raised in Pomonok projects in Queens. My grandmother still lives there and we were visiting her for thanksgiving. I usually stay to take care of her as she’s getting older and tonight as I was taking her from the car 5 shots rang out at us from her building.

And we literally saw three nikkas running on the roof. If we would have gotten there any earlier we would be dead right now.

I can’t stand this shyt anymore. I ain’t never seen the hood this bad and I lived here through the 90’s. My grandmother is trying to calm us down but I’m so pissed off.

Adams needs to increase the police budget because these nikkas are out of control
I'm sorry that happened to you but a) you don't seem to understand what defund the police is about and b) the police already has a large budget and you still got shot at, so what makes you think they are a solution to this problem?

Defund the police doesn't just mean take away money from cops, it means putting that money into proven, more effective tools to protect communities. Cops buying more assault weapons and armored vehicles isn't going to do shyt but increase the risk of you getting killed by police.

I was never a fan of Defund the police, but at the same time having more of a Police force doesn't stop crime

Job creation stops crime

You can't tell criminals to stop doing crime when they're aren't many legal options for these Brehs to be employed and feed their family and learn responsibility

How many times do we have to explain that defunding the police means tax payers aren’t funding random things the like robo-cop gear and futuristic cars. It has nothing to do with cutting police jobs.
The Internet has had a strange effect. In an age where information is readily accessible, fact-checkers constantly filtering out misinformation....people seem to be even more intellectually lazy and attached to debunked narratives than ever before.

They want to remain ignorant.

There’s many legal option's for these bums to do something with their lives. That shyt is tired. MFs just want fast money at the expense of others, whether its Twan up the street or Tyler working in a cubicle somewhere running crypto and solar scams

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Glad you and your gmoms is okay.

I thought crime was getting worse than the 90s but no one else was saying it but I'm telling you IT IS WORSE.
No it ain't. Violence was happening in the middle of midtown in the 80s and 90s. 1992 alone bodies this argument.

#DefundThePolice was just a social media campaign. No laws have actually been passed to defund the police. So I'm not sure what your story has to do with that.
He believes the message that police unions have worked hard to put out there: "give us more money and we'll protect you"

If you think about it for more than 3 seconds you realize exactly what that sounds like: a protection racket.

Police showed up to Uvalde and what did they do? When people peacefully protested 2 summers ago, what did they do?That extra funding goes to gear they don't know how to use, and to kickbacks for their bosses that like to sit in the office and bullshyt around. It takes more time to become a teacher than a police officer who literally can kill you because they feel scared.

I understand why OP feels unsafe. Someone SHOULD be patrolling the streets and preventing these guys from even getting guns in the first place, but police are reactive rather than pro active and are dangerously incompetent. The bar for them compared to other countries is on the floor.

More money won't solve the problem, greater accountability and expansive state and federal standards should be in place. You should only be hired if you've racked up x number of hours in conflict de escalation and resolution. ___ number of hours in psychology and criminology____ number of hours studying sociology and_____ number of hours in bias training. Then they should undergo psychological exams once a month and therapy/debriefing sessions once a week from trained psychologists. They have the money for that, but would rather spend it on military surplus hardware and punisher decals.

Perhaps that police budget should go to fixing housing situations and career training programs

I hope you do the right thing and inform the police to get him off of the street...
