When has a bigger police presence ever helped the hood? If anything you'll get the cops that sexual harass the women and beat the men. The problem is that they've stopped assigning officers that are from the area, and they get trigger happy cacs to patrol the neighborhood.

Also, I understand all the stuff people are saying about the police and all, but remember people were talking about community policing? “Who keeps us safe? We keep us safe!” And all that? Old ladies and children shouldn’t be getting shot at it killed like that out here. A lot of times people will get killed in front of people and nobody will even tell on the shooter so that family can get justice. People were literally out here in these protests saying we don’t need police at all and shyt like that. shyt like this makes me mad cause I think about my friends and family members that either hang out or live in the hood. Man an 8 year old girl was shot in a drive by while somebody was out in a hood in my hometown with a horse and carriage trying to bring smiles to the kids faces smh.. My sister was out there. It’s crazy out here these days man smh.

This isn't a police issue at all. This is a community issue. The police can only do so much without cooperation from the community.

Thing is, black people are contradictory liars!

Those criminals are allowed to operate by that community, and then protected by that community. If the police were to hem those guys up and slam them on their neck, that same community would be in an uproar, recording everything, and ready to March. Is it oochie walley or one mic?

The police aren't going anywhere in this country lol. One of the constants and rules of nature are: you better be able to adapt and evolve or you're going extinct. In short black people better figure out how to use the police...or we'll always be losing.

This is a straw man argument, because the police are fully funded right now but crime is still increasing.

Yeah, but when the cities hire lax and “progressive” DA’s that deliver virtually zero consequences to many criminals (places like SF, Chicago, Portland and NYC have), then what’s the point of making arrests?

Op I feel your pain, but if The Wire taught me one thing its that big city police forces are self licking ice cream cones who serve only to siphon resources from the tax payers.

Now on the flip side, I get your frustration. The Do Nothing Dems have allowed extremists to be the loudest voices of criminal justice reform. The intersectional feminists have hijacked the Defund the Police/Abolitionist platform.
