Has a lot to do with speeding up your metabolism

My dad used to be over weight and eat like 2 meals a day but binging during those meals

He started eating 7 small meals a day and working out and dropped a 100 in a year

Meanwhile my mom when she tries to lose weight eats like a rabbit 3 times a day and loses nothing

When I worked at Golds Gym I saw plenty of guys in shape who ate pretty much whatever the fukk they wanted throughout the day. This one dude who was a semi pro baseball player would fukking eat McDonald's in the gym pretty much every day then go work out lmfao

Wait what, not at all lmfao eating only junk food once a day will not make you lose weight over eating healthy 3 times a day because you're literally starving your body of energy to burn those calories not only that you're starving your body of nutrients so it stores it as fat to hold onto it

That you can't really change your "metabolism". Your dad simply created an energy imbalance with his total cals to energy expenditure.

On the flip side you can over do that and force your body to hold on to weight for fear of lack of food which is what likely happens with your mom.

Lol yeah but if the goal is to strictly lose weight, junk food is lighter. Healthy foods are loaded with nutrients that can make you gain weight. Do I think you can eat junk food for 2 weeks straight? Probably not

Eating fruits and vegetables aren't as cut and dry lose weight with. I've seen alot of chubby vegans :heh:

Most vegans eat a lot of processed foods and soy. Being vegan doesn't change your unhealthy eating habits. There's tons of snacks that are unhealthy and vegan, I.E. oreos

If you want to lose weight. It's ONLY about a caloric defecit, that's it. You will lose weight if you consume less calories than your body uses to maintain your current weight.

There it is, "mystery" revealed. Calories in vs calories out. You'd be surprised at the amount of people that don't understand that.

Now if we're talking actually being healthy and hitting your health markers, that's a different story.

If you eat 4,000 calories a day and you only burn 2,000 calories a day. Then your body will store 2,000 calories. If you do that enough then you will become fat.

If you eat 2,500 calories per day and you burn 3,000 calories a day; and you do that enough then you will lose weight over time.

As you noted none of that has anything to do with being healthy.

even bigger misconception is eating fatty foods makes you fat

its simple af. eat ,more calories than u spend u gain weight and vice versa it doesnt matter what u eat all that matters is the calories
It's simple not in theory and in fact but much harder to do. I can eat junk food below my calorie requirements and lose weight but junk food rarely fills you up that inevitably you'll go back to eating more and thereby eating above your requirements.

It's true, I used to eat nothing but junk food but in little amounts and would stay slim as a mofo.

It's all about calorific deficit

weight loss is simply burning off more than you consume, your body doesn't discriminate between carbs from a chocolate bar and carbs from vegetables

500 calories of junk food and 500 calories of "healthy food" break down very differently and It's very easy to rack up a few hundred from just a candy bar :stopitslime:


If someone is one a calorie deficit with mainly junk food then that's stupid and unhealthy as shyt
