500 calories of junk food and 500 calories of "healthy food" break down very differently and It's very easy to rack up a few hundred from just a candy bar :stopitslime:

If someone is one a calorie deficit with mainly junk food then that's stupid and unhealthy as shyt

I didn't say it was healthy, I'm saying you lose weight that way:manny:

Don't judge me breh I'm tryna eat healthier for the new year :damn:

OP is partially right but it's not 100% myth, yes it's calories that are important but junk foods are much denser. Fat has more than double the calories by weight than pure carbs. Also high fibre foods are low calorie by weight and make you feel fuller.

A low fat bowl of salad will have the same calories as half a snickers bar.

High sugar foods also tend you make you wan more sugar later on. :yeshrug:

But if you're careful you can lose weight eating junk food yes, but it's more difficult.

Healthy foods are lower in calories and ate much filling therefore people lose weight
Everytime I hear these health magazines or health hustlers like Dr Oz on TV say this, I laugh to myself :mjlol:

- Weight loss is simply understanding how heavy foods or meals are. If you just consistently keep eating lighter meals for a sustained period of time, then weight loss would happen instantly

- How "healthy" a food is has nothing to do with it's ability to help you lose weight

- About 5 years ago, I lost 30 pounds eating fast food and junk food. And ate like one grapefruit

- For instance I would go to the candy store and eat Snickers, potato chips, cheese nips, honey bun, ice cream, etc and play basketball. And that would be the only thing I ate that day. But I would lose weight dramatically

- Junk food, although "unhealthy", are light as hell

- Conversely, I would eat a healthy full sized home cooked meal, and my weight would stay the same. No matter how much I exercise

The key is when you lose that weight, THEN you can focus on eating healthy

It really depends...I eat like crap and I've always been on the thin side. :manny:

To an extent it's calories in/calories out, but certain foods (mainly carbs) will make you hungrier and more likely to over eat. Fats/proteins are actually better in the sense that they're more likely to fill you up and take longer to digest. Whereas starchy stuff like pasta and potatoes will have you hungry an hour later.

You smart dumb nikkas are something else.

I'd hate to see your health report. :francis:

Although losing weight is a pure numbers game (it's all about calories), health and fukking nutrition matters too. And eating clean is the only sustainable way to maintain long term weight loss.

Sounds like you smart dumb nikkas can't read

It's ironic that the sentence you bolded is the one you glossed over. Losing weight that way (foods that are lighter, that may be junk/fast food) should be for a sustained period of time, like about 2-3 weeks. Then you can go back to healthy food. Eating healthy is actually perfect for maintaining your weight, after a weight loss

Ya'll nikkas are so entertaining :russ:

You have good experience with that. :dame:

And so according to your dumbass eating UNLIMITED junk food for weeks is key to weight loss and eating whole foods is a hinderance. :comeon:
