All your last two paragraphs did, was remove the onus of common courtesy from the enjoyer to the provisioner. What I'm saying ain't got nothing to do with respectability politics.
I live in reality, seeing this world, this country, and the people within for who they really are and not what I imagine or wish them to be so yeah you can keep believing and living this fantasy that people are naturally kind and courteous all you want if it helps you sleep at night, but I know it's bull.
It's like I last said in my last post: hypothetically if somebody was really being genuinely courteous and kind, they wouldn't be pitching a bytch and succumbing to racial and prejudiced thoughts all because someone took a few extra bags of chips and juices.
They would've simply disregarded it as them being hungry and thirsty; the moment one uses that as a way to express their racial and prejudiced thoughts about people is when you realize they were being phony the whole time and the so-called good samaritan act was them being self-serving for their own ego, they get to convince themselves that they're good people.
Either you rock with someone understanding that "this is for everyone so I take a bit for me" or you rock with someone feeling like "all this good stuff here is free? Mines then".
You're complicating simple ish to avoid calling bad behavior bad.
