Why are you offering delivery drivers snacks and shyt? I never understood people who do this; it's like tipping a cashier, it makes no sense.

I get the whole being courteous angle but that's doing too much imo, Amazon drivers get paid enough to feed themselves during the day.

Personally, I wouldn't have cared how much he took simply because if I'm going to leave a bunch of snacks unattended, it's to be expected that people are going to help themselves to more than one; I don't care what anybody says; it's human nature for people to overtake.

He did what most of us would do, and I ain't ashamed to say I would've done the same.
I worked for USPS during COVID. I and other carriers appreciated customers that did this. Some people had ice chests out with Gatorade. shyt was awesome and came in super clutch.

Greedy MFS ruin everything.

No. As the other breh said, in a high trust society it's not "human nature" to overtake. People in a high trust society are empathetic and think of the needs of others.

I’ve come to figure out so many inconvenient things in society exist because people try to exploit and take advantage of the good things.

This makes people have to put a whole bunch of security up and make it a hassle to acquire resources. Most of the annoying safeguards aren’t there to screw people over and waste people’s time, it’s primarily there to keep things secure and fair because people constantly to try find exploits.

The honest person has to then be inconvenienced for all of that shyt. Fine print here, fine print there. “Well, we’ve had people try and ____ in the past.”

We can honestly have nice things and be self-sustaining, but a lot of crooks and selfish people being too grabby stand in the way of it.

Other than the lack of morals some people are just weird when it comes to free stuff. They feel they need to grab as much as possible or it's going to waste. They don't think about their fellow man who may need some.

People think morality will compensate for sloth/ laziness

but it never does,

You wanted to feel good about your self without doing that leg work and this is what you get.

I say this about people who leave a bowl of candy outside during halloween instead of passing them out too.

I call this fat morality

Despite this, people will continue to blame the people taking advantage rather than the enablers

Crazy thing about this to ask is: what if there were no cameras or not a small community? Many people would fill gas and run, causing the price to go up exponentially for everyone else.

Like what’s been said those kind of people are why we can’t have consistently cheap and convenient things.

:camby: and you know this how? people can cross borders to the east to escape the police. but it's just not a big enough problem for people to have to address it.

i've only ever seen the odd petrol station with a pay first rule in europe.

it's undignified.
