Greenhornet
A God Among Kings
I just see pages of people who werent born commenting on shyt decades past their brain capacity
the finals video is peaking as the worst part of an already terrible thread too
take the first 2 minutes of the 1990 finals and point out slow motion chances players had
I just really wish people who werent born would not comment on shyt they werent around for
same shyt with music, etc. nikkas still smoke crack but you werent around for the 80s and 90s when crack actually hit and the entire culture changed
you cant compare the shyt unless you were actually there. Imagine us talking about cars to some nikkas who just saw Model T and were on horseback and train 3 year prior. You cant sit and just "try to figure the shyt out" nikkas werent hunting or chasing 3's in the 90s ... you would be benched if you pulled up for 3 and broke the plays... you might get 1 shot, if you pull up a 2nd time, you were sitting and the coach was throwing shyt across the hardwood.
Kids cant even comprehend that the NBA was not even respected or loved until right before those 1990s games, it was niche and in smaller circles... it wasnt internationally huge as today. Only real heads who loved basketball were on it for the love. Before MJ nikkas were making peanuts because the game wasnt marketable or desirable to most of America or the world. The only thing that will show children "history" is when they become it...time passes every decade and its always looked back by people who didnt live it as "overrated"
if shyt was set to evolve quicker, it would have. Like the one dude posted, the game and rules only change to create a new style out of something that already was. Its like Tony Hawk doing the 900 on a skateboard. He isnt gonna do the 900 unless someone does the 180... the 360 later, the 540 a decade later, the 720 two decades later. nikkas arent just jumping on skateboards and doing 720s. Like without Dr J, there is no Dominique, then there is no Kemp, then there is no Blake Griffin, then we have no Anthony Edwards. That one dude in the start changed everything with how he created the norm. You cant compare it to someone who is just doing what he started without thinking. I'm not Thomas Edison because I own 20 light switches
