Yes it was colonized and turned into Mexico by Spaniards. Spaniards are white and got their stolen Kane taken by English speaking whites. It literally was white on white crime.

No, I'm saying whatever claim they had to the land is irrelevant because they stole the land in the first place.
So you’re saying the natives from 600 or so years ago had more influence on California culture than Mexicans?

I don't deny Mexican influence in California culture, but people keep bringing up California being apart of Mexico like thats supposed to mean something. They weren't native to the land, they were colonizers.
Majority of them have mostly Spanish genetics, the entire culture is from Spain. Whatever natives are left get treated like shyt by the Mexican government.
Mexico fought wars against their natives for 300 years, we not gonna rewrite history and act like they're the natives.
