Women's rights
1/4 of Cambodia's population got knocked off 40 years ago, they're probably Top 10 in terms of useless police forces. Once again, unless someone is reporting the murders and/or indicting murderers, their crime rate will be perceived as low.
You're right that the murder rate could definitely be higher than what's listed, but even then I doubt they have homicide rate comparable to El Salvador or Honduras
Access to guns
Oh yeah good point, there are probably a lot of guns in Latin America that came from the US

BTW, its interesting that ALL but one city are located in the western hemisphere. And the one city from across the pond is in a country with a (recent) history of oppressing the natives..

Not a coincidence, imho

They're reaching. Let the media tell it, they consider mean mugging a crime.

The mayor at one time actually wanted to arrest people for talking loud at markets. :thisdude:

I don't think most people here are glorifying it, but rather discussing why things are the way they are
I didn't read the whole thread but there are trolls on here who brag about how " hard" their neighborhoods are because of the crime rates.

I'm a St. Louis native and this saddens me but anyone who doubts the authenticity of this graphic have obviously never been there.

You cant blame it on poverty either. India and pakistan for example are poor as shyt but their violent crimes are low so in my opinion it is a cultural phenomenon.

When it comes to Latin America violence unfortunately is kinda endemic to the culture; People have a low tolerance for perceived slights/insults, and in many places the corruption and weak law enforcement infrastructure in rural areas means the might-makes-right mentality prevails.

can you nikkas stop spreading this ignorance which is borderline c00nery :snoop: :stopitslime:

ya clearly don't know the first things about the people of these countries to say that the violence occurring there is the result of a "cultural phenomenon" :camby:

and please explain to me how high rates violence is endemic to latin american culture :mjlol:

each of these countries has different circumstances that will produce different outcomes.

just because violence is higher in one place than another is not evidence of a unique "cultural phenomenon" :what:

in Brazil and Colombia in particular there are basically ongoing WARS between armed groups and the authorities

when will ya understand that stabilizing urban areas is one of the biggest security and governance challenges facing HUMANITY

this shyt is not a unique issue only affecting certain races of people like ya like to suggest :stopitslime: :camby:
