:ohhh:

My brother at a dead end job now with a kid on the way. I told him to do IT Certs or Trucking to get quick money.

How hard is Trucking and what's the work - life balance like?

Not that hard. Just very boring and draining. The work - life balance is trash (more often than not)

Some details about it brehs :ehh:

- Must have a CDL A
- Over the road
- Need Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (Not a requirement intially, can get it when hired)
- Dedicated Accounts

If you are interested, let me know

I have my CDL-A + tanker endorsement. No hazmat endorsement but from what I've seen from the hazmat test, obtaining it would be a breeze, so I have no worries there.

My only concern is that I have an "O" restriction on my CDL, preventing me from driving tractor-trailer combinations. I mean I can drive dump trucks, I can haul heavy equipment on 30ft trailers with said dump trucks, I can drive tankers because of my tanker endorsement, and I can drive a tractor without the trailer and still be within regulation- I'm just not allowed to hook that trailer up to a tractor.

Now, that's my concern- my question is will this company be prepared to get that "O" restriction off my license? What they'd have to do is let me practice the pre-trip inspection on their tractor-trailers, AND give me road test practice, and then take me to the DMV to be tested and have that restriction removed when I pass.

Is that something the company would be willing to do, or are they only looking for drivers who already have the tractor-trailer combo endorsement on their license?

I have never head of an "O" restriction :dwillhuh:

Can't you just take the Combination Endorsement and the Doubles/Triples endorsement to get that removed?
