They have the largest transit system in the country but insist on living right in the midst of everything and NOT using the transit system for thier benefit. That'd be like if Chicago had a train that could take me to Wisconsin or Indiana in 30 minutes, and the real estate was 1/3 of the price. East coast people talk so much shyt about NJ/MA but then turn around and pay 2 thousand to live in a closet in the boroughs with rats roaches and mice.![]()

There's that many of them?
I mean you constantly see all these new apartments and condos springing up, are there really that many rich people up there and other cities in general? Not even being funny. I guess rich people move to NYC everyday. Where will all the regular folk live? Smh.
Same here. I remember we used to pay about a thousand and change in rent living there. My aunt still pays about that much. She refusing to move. I can't say that I blame her.
Wasn't our mayor supposed to be doing something about affordable housing though. Like real affordable housing.
Yes, there are that many rich clear people...especially in NY. Clear people own 90% of American wealth.
I know you know this, but for those that don't know - the affordable housing option only helps a handful of people. Generally speaking, 20% of the high rise, luxury units will be held off for poor people. To put this in perspective, most buildings host up to 500 apartments...so only 100 people are getting that deal.
The affordable housing lottery for each building can easily have a waiting list of 30,000 people. Easily.

Like I said in the random thoughts thread, apartments prices are beyond ridiculous now. Smh. Who's going to live there? I doubt many can afford those prices, so I'm guessing it's just going to be a bunch of vacant apartments and buildings right?
I'm going leave Brooklyn once I'm done with grad school and starting my career for Queens. The only reasonably cheap boroughs are Queens,Bronx and Staten Island. Always had love for Queens.thank god I live in Queens. We own most of our homes.
Yup queens or the border of long island is my idea once I get my shyt settledI'm going leave Brooklyn once I'm done with grad school and starting my career for Queens. The only reasonably cheap boroughs are Queens,Bronx and Staten Island. Always had love for Queens.
Oh, most def. They're opening a building soon in Fort Greene, I think. I don't remember. I didn't even look twice at the list. I know that I far from qualify. Faaar from it. I'll be looking for a new crib in about 6 months. Just gotta continue to rely on hookups and inside tracks.Yes, there are that many rich clear people...especially in NY. Oh, best believe that that school will change to reflect the demographic. Best believe. I took a few classes there in 2010 to get my GPA up and they were building buildings and remodeling. School leadership was also hella unstable. Matter of time before CUNY puts their own figurehead in there.so who the fukk is going to be attending Medgar Evers?
