I don't know about this one

What is going to be the main scene of the movie: a black kid getting beaten to death like an animal? This is not something you want your kids to see. Not even yourself.

Malcom X movie was great because it had a MESSAGE. It was a journey. The poor Emitt never had a journey. They took his life too early.

I'm afraid this will be ntothing but trauma porn and the beginning of a bunch of distasteful drill bars of Emit Till.

I’m hoping all this new found attention will lead to the old white bytch getting arrested, but America gon’ do what America gon’ do.
This. His mother deserves all the shine for what she endured throughout that bullshyt. Got a good actress to play her too. :wow:

Certain things should be left alone. :francis:
Nah, hell nah.

This incident needs to be forever in our zeitgeist, just like Trayvon. Never let them forget.

As they should :mjpls: .. The Emmett Till story has been buried for the last few decades.. Unless your into Black History, you most likely wouldn't know about it..Most schools don't teach about. Its literally the reason for the Civil Rights
But the story shouldn't have a movie or 2 because it Black Trauma/Porn?:martin:
FACTS. They been buried this kid's story AND refuse to teach about it but people in here crying about it's too painful to see :dahell: :mjpls:

If the makers of this truly cared, they'd make a documentary, akin to the ones that have been put together to go after R. Kelly and so on. Especially have it show the extent these fukks, the judicial system and so on, have gone to protecting the bytch who made the false accusation. They know it will get people questioning the system and law, which is what they are afraid of.

At the African American Museum in DC, they have the Emmett Till exhibit where you can't take your phone in that part. Before you get to the church part of the exhibit where they have his original casket. There are videos playing showing the news articles and stories on tv at that time. Almost like a mini-documentary.

I don't mind the movie in the essence because of the history BUT how does this movie move us forward as black people to not "re write history" when history is repeating itself with victims like Tamir Rice, trayvon and countless others. Hell one of the cops who did NOTHING when Chauvin laid on George floyd neck only got 2 yrs in prison for that.

I'll pass on this movie but unfortunately there is so much money for black pain and struggle movies in Hollywood.

1. The documentary and similar ones brought a bunch of attention to an issue. Regardless of how you feel about those documentaries, they brought attention to an issue and all the people involved. That is exactly what this issue needs.

2. A documentary of any kind can go into the other lynchings that have occurred as well.

3. Not everyone that disagrees with you is a cac. I see why you're in the red. Hot damn.

Funny that some of the same people who claim they want reparations don’t want to see movies that remind America of why we should be paid reparations.

Jews haven’t stopped talking about their 10 year holocaust but we’re supposed to stop talking about our 400 years

Boo hoo bytch nikka. I talked about the R. Kelly documentary and other documentaries like it. I don't care about R. Kelly himself but the documentary is the one everyone knows. They got people talking and people actually arrested. Those things work in this day and age. Hell, you can do both, but I'm betting a documentary would be more useful. I'm curious now as to how many black movies ave gotten cases reopened or gotten people arrested.

After seeing what they did to him, I made a promise to myself to never mess with white women.
We don't need to be entertaining this as a movie.
No back-and-forth on this one.
