This is true, but a lot of that is personality. Are the nerds the most popular kids at white schools? Are the poor white kids going to the library after school, or doing heroin and meth? A popular kid can get good grades, and be well liked.

I don’t think the teachers give a shyt. I know mine did not. Even though I put forth effort and displayed interest. It’s true, you have to prepare and nurture your child’s education at home.

I had one math teacher who spent more time yelling at ONE boy in class, having full nonsensical arguments, than actually teaching class. The rest of us would be sitting there like

my parents been married 37 years and we stayed in an apartment and i had to do my hw in the kitchen sometimes. they didn't value education like that, it was more get a job and don't lose it lol

It's truly American brainwashing. Black kids in the 1910s to 1940s had some of the best test scores. In the 1800s, they had higher scores and marks than their peers.

I don't see how this will change anything. Parents with money who don't like these changes will either move or pay for private school.

Generally no matter the school, teachers like coaches are more invested into the physically gifted or most talented more than the general population. Most people just don't like wasting their time.

I went to a Black school from K-3, left 2nd half of 3rd. I'll say this. The Black schools was way behind the white schools. It wasn't even close. That didn't mean the Black school was trash cause it wasn't but the white school was ahead of it. That said, the Black school had superior teachers for Black students at that time. I know that things have changed of late. But in the early 90s, that's how it was.

That said, both were far behind a good private school and both were far less competitive than top elementary schools are today

At my high school, we had low standardized test scores in reading, so they split our gym quarters to make 2 quarters of gym, 1 quarter of health, and 1 quarter of critical reading.

They also had extra math and reading courses for 11th grade kids with lower scores added into our regular schedule before taking the HSPA. If we reached a certain score, we could replace those courses with another course for the second half of the year. I outscored both sections.

I’ve always been good with speaking proper grammar, but never had the patience to sit and get through all the questions on those long tests.

I will say, the biggest factor in using proper grammar is how your family speaks at home. If we didn’t speak properly, our parents corrected us. Black people tend to eliminate conjunctions when we speak.

And don’t get me started on the past tense of see being said as “seen”.

With so many single parent households, and even two parent households where both parents work full time, nobody is checking to make sure the kids do their homework. This is why I have no problem with having a wife who stays home. I think a lot of men are so worried about a woman being a freeloader, but don’t consider the impact a stay at home mother has on a child.

Language rules don't matter dude lol. Speaking proper with all the rules just means you follow rules like a robot. The way black people talk is very creative and actually adds soul to the English language.

White people and proper speaking people are the woat for this. I'm so fire at English I literally play with words, I'm elite funny.
