is it just me or do a lot of navy guys always seem depressed? I know being on a ship can drain you but....

they got a bunch of cool jobs you can choose from, their bmt seems pretty easy even compared to the AF (then again im judging off youtube vids)

and they rarely see any close contact combat

so whats the deal?:lupe:

It's all rate dependent at times I've had a navy Corpman, Linguist, and We always seemed to have Seabees attached...Just like Airforce JTACs, ALOs, Weather, Intel...they are always around Army//Marines...

that's why I always tell people find the job you like first than find the branch...Your job is what you do everyday your branch is just some shyt your in...I can come with the fake Espirit De Corp but I love my job...And that's above the branch.

I see why you were such a piece of sh!t..... the old me would hope they capture and behead you on tour :madiba:

but i'll let you cook for now

Just based off of his attitude I would not want him in my company but id hope it would change...But no branch wants anyone who has no self motivation....

And you Brehs in the military don't encourage depressed no motivation having people to join because you don't want to deal with them either...These are the types who end up on suicide watch or going awol because they have to pull basic duties.

And on top of that no branch is hurting for Personnel...Only advice those to join who you would actually gladly serve next to...Information is cool...But if a dude can't keep a job at McDonald's or at least attempt to finish a few college courses would you trust his intelligence analysis, that he fixed your vehicle, that your paperwork is straight, that the damn satellite is actually set up and working.

That's not all the way true...I become concerned about Soldiers when they stop complaining...Once you lose the will to complain or fight it can take a lot out of you.

Well from a psychological standpoint you have to be concerned ...its a delicate balance between motivation and suicide watch
and once soldiers are burnt out and feel like their peers and or chain of command isn't there for them...
You know what can happen

I'm a damn level 3 suicide awareness
That's another thing ...Military suicide rate is double the average or something like that of civilians

True. I dealt with the aftermath (or lead up) to 4 suicides/attempts my first year in.

That's the elephant in the room man
I had about 3 of my closest friends want to kill themselves in like 2011...my nikka I helped them get off that ledge ...some others not so much unfortunately:rip:
Next thing you know I was feeling like offing myself and I kept it to myself...luckily I was strong but a lot of these kids are not going to be able to deal with that environment alone...
Starting from basic training guys were tryna hang themselves in the shower at night...
Oh boy...
Good Luck brehs
But:snoop:

Seriously dude, get a trade. Military should be left as your last option. It really should be your absolute last safety net before you hit rock bottom.

Electricians and plumbers cake. They also basically get head hunted. You can also try to get certs and get your foot in the door in IT.

Any branch that is particularly good for the mental health field?

If your really trying to work in it I suggest Army or Marines....You'll have more Soldiers/Marines to deal with to hone your craft and to help....And suicide across the military has been on a major uptick.

Army medical is generally pretty decent. Almost close to the Air Force in some ways. Marines though... you gotta be about that life just to be safe lol

That's true but that's only because the marines medical is few and far...most of the time they just had Navy Corpsman when I've seen em.

No job, doing crappy in school, broke, unmotivated and have no idea what I want to do in life.

Army, Navy, Marines? Any one have some experience in these branches?

I don't know breh shyts depressing. I need some purpose in life and I don't think I'm cut out for this academic shyt. Any advice for a young breh? :mjcry:

My brother and his best friend went to the Marines after high school. They are now both crazy as shyt and drink all the time.

I have a lot of friends who went the Navy (and for some reason a lot of my girlfriends have dated Navy guys). They are all crazy and most of them were cheaters. However, one side of my family is Navy and they are doing very well (they made the military a career).

I have a cousin who went to the Air Force now he has a job in DC with the government but he never tells us what he actually does (it some top secret stuff). I do know he is successful, happy, and well paid. Go to the Air Force if you are going to join the military. I briefly thought about joining as I was preparing to graduate from college.

What year are you in college/how far do you have to go? Everyone goes through slumps. What's your major and/or actual interests?

Military?! :what: If you're black that's an automatic lifelong L :snoop:

Besides if you're gonna be a murderous thief you should just go out and start killing and taking shyt for yourself - fukk uncle sam (really private corporate/banking interests). Cut the middleman out and keep the bread for yourself
