Being technical can be overrated. Sometimes simple brevity carries more weight IMO. Brevity definitely makes for more quotables over being technical.


Have to say, both are in my top 5 and this thread is uncomfortable . Nas is my personal GOAT, but this thread is complicated.


Will say this though, Cube blows Nas out the water on storytelling. I can see myself in South Central as a guest when listening to Cube more than Queensbridge when listening to Nas.

Nas on memory lane is beautiful story telling painting pictures with words.

Cube has more mainstream appeal, more hits than Nas.

Same thing, I respect other people's opinions but it's hard for Nas to knock Cube off in albums too - in their primes. I'd give you Nas probably if it was overall

The better rapper I have to give to Nas but you can't just count Cube out of that because he's not as intricate as Nas was

And the better music is just personal opinion, but in their prime I say Cube because Amerikkka's Most I think is the best hip hop album ever
