Some of you cats are worse than these pundits you complain about. Now a 4-game playoff is worse than a computer picking 2 teams? OKay.....

By no means is this a perfect system, but having 4 teams decide it on the field is hands down a much better format.
You didn't understand how the BCS selected its teams. It was HEAVILY WEIGHTED toward the Coaches' poll and Harris Poll. It would take AN AMAZING EFFORT for the #1 and #2 teams in those polls to be moved by the computers. It literally never happened. The Harris and AP is a much larger sample of voters than the Selection Committee.

So,

THE ABILITY to play for the championship in the old system was effectively decided by the Coaches, and Harris poll voters.

the ABILITY to play for the championship in the current system is selected by 13 former ADs, and others; it is basically a SMALLER harris poll group.

it is worse than the BCS for this reason alone.

It is still a paper champion until teams can always decide their own fate by winning a qualifier [conference] and making a tournament. This is actually worse because its just 13 people deciding 'who is best'.

It's bullshyt Oregon beat sorry ass Washington St by 7 and nobody says shyt. Goddamn man they got punked by Arizona even with the refs trying to bail them out. What the fukk has Oregon done since they beat Utah and UCLA

Ohio St punked Michigan St way worse than Oregon why they gassing Oregon up for beating that non existant secondary. Mariota aint shyt fukk him and that chump ass Helfrich TCU is more deserving of being ahead of FSU compared to soft ass Oregon. I guess they giving Mariota the lifetime achievement award for beating Stanford finally.

Man shut up.. what difference does it make if you 1 or 4? I did not care one bit that I was 4. I just wanna be in.
And we'd run every team yall played as well.. as well as our 3rd seed and 4th seed pac teams.

ed your logic would make sense if there werent 4 teams instead of 2. that and i dont agree that a larger size of voters in this instance means a better result. under this committee and system auburn in 2004 wouldnt be left out and they wouldnt be relegated to no.3 simply because they werent ranked highly in the preseason. thats the vast improvement. saying its worse is ridiculous and you dont even believe that. just say its not perfect and leave it at that.

I don't see too much of a difference between FSU and Oregon except one team has a loss and another doesn't. Because of that I would have kept the noles at 2 and Oregon at 3.

I guess the ducks have 1 more top 25 win than FSU but is beating Utah that much different than beating Louisville who was ranked last week? They're both of the same quality IMO.

Looking at the resumes of FSU and Oregon

ND-Michigan State
Clemson-UCLA
Louisville-Utah
Oklahoma St-Stanford

All those teams seems similar to me. At the end of the day I'm not yet trippin off of them being ranked 3rd. With that said, seeding matters though I prefer FSU play in the sugar bowl instead of the rose bowl.

difference im sure the committee is noting like i said notre dame and clemson got blown out by the only other current top 25 team theyve faced. you could argue that michigan state got handled in similar fashion by ohio state, but michigan st also handed nebraska their only loss. ucla hasnt blown anybody out other than arizona st, but oregon is the only team to have blown them out and they do have arizona is their 2nd quality win. then theres how those 8 games turned out themselves. in those comparisons oregon faced teams with better resumes and was never threatened in the 4th quarter, while the noles were in dogfights in the 4th quarter against all 4 teams with 2 of them coming down to the final play. thats what likely slightly overriding oregon's one loss to a good team in the opinion of the committee.

Dead ass. Who was really robbed out here compared to bcs and current injustices. And now its just a four team invitational playoff with no rules?

A champion isnt crowned on the fieod period
Who was robbed? Let's see -

2000 Miami
2003 USC
2004 Auburn
2006 Michigan
2008 USC

All of these teams would have had the chance to play for a title in today's system.

:mindblown: YOu gotta be smoking that nice BC bud breh. Having more teams play for a ring is worse because less people got to decide? Word?
