I understand the tipping thing but my thing is how can the employer get away with this? They better come out and tell us what she got in tips cause this sounds crazy. That check would make me quit that job right then and there.:picard:

This tip thing 100% depends on where you work. The servers at mid to high end restaurants make a lot more money in tips than they ever would if they were put on salary. Same thing with bartenders in trendy areas. Now if you the waitress at the local Denny's yeah you might be struggling.

Of course she made good money in tips, she knew how much she was getting paid an hour and yet still worked the 70 Hours because she more than made up for it in cash.

I tip the standard 18%-20% anyway :yeshrug:

Before anyone comes in here talking shyt like they’re a rich white Republican - do the research.

Black women, especially in the South are affected by this the worst. Most literally rely on tips to feed their children and are subject to sexual assault and degradation just to collect those tips.

No minimum wage is literally slave labor. There’s a deep history of it and it never went away.

How about just not having kids? I know mistakes happen, but not at this rate.

FYI $15 minimum wage ain't shyt. Waiters make way more than that on tipsYou living num fukk on that when average rent is $800
