Seems like he was just fukking around but I've gotten that before, I'll be hanging out with friends that I already know and someone new comes around and I'm almost like a mute just sitting there listening and someone usually goes "Whats wrong with this guy, why doesn't he say anything?"

Its just how I am people think I'm sad or angry at something but I'm usually just observing or listening to the conversation, I try to keep my mouth shut unless I have something to contribute thats worthwhile.

I'm an introvert as well. Always attend work meetings with 2-3 things you want to discuss/point out in advance if an agenda/point of meeting is established in advance. We live in an extraverted world breh.

Yeah breh, you don't want to be known as the quiet guy in the office. That's a sure way of being skipped over for all the promotions.

I had two guys that I considered my mentees that were the same way in meetings. When talking to me they had a million ideas and opinions but the second we got into a big group meeting they were quiet as fukk. Even in stuff they were supposed to be experts in. So when time came for promotions I would push for them and that was the number one thing pointed to of why they would not be promoted.

Second: Next time you go to one of these sit up & say a lil something every so often. Even if it's small sh#t like "Yes, Yes, I agree" if someone states something you down with.

... But you gotta understand that it's like a weird thing about our species were if people are in a group & one doesn't say barely anything EVER there will be times that person will get picked on. I hate that myself but it is what it is.
PLUS more importantly, YOu THE ONLY PERSON OF COLOR THERE!! You automatically are like a representative of us all. I know it's an unfair burden but bruh, Just Be your best & you should be good. Don't give them no more ammo for the "Blacks ain't sh#t, weren't Sh#t & Neva gon be Sh#t" cannon.

I was just talking about this last night with somebody. It got to the point that I'm so used to faking it when I'm in groups that I think I've become an extrovert. Work wise I was getting knocked big time for always being quiet and keeping to myself when going to meet with customers. So I learned to fake it and be outgoing and BSing with customers and soon applied that to my social life too. I absolutely dread any social engagement but once I get in them now I turn on the fake persona and take control of the situation. That's become the new normal for me now.
