you;re obviously still a kid mentally. You'll wake up one day hopefully when you mature. You dont even realize that its by design that this little kid even has the mentality to rap about the things he does. The environment that he comes from is by design and you're ok with him glorifying it and making it seem "cool". Im confident that you are a "kid" as your screenname suggests. You'll wake up one day.
Actually I'm 21 i.e a legal adult. But more importantly refuting your silly claim that I am a kid mentally, I can actually differentiate between freaking fiction and reality. Because I have since a kid growing been listening to violent/aggressive music and playing violent video games. Yet I have not been influenced by either of those
entertainments as an adult. See how easy that was?
Anyways I'm going to entertain this argument of yours. Rap like all music is entertainment. Nothing more nothing less. To me you have to be pretty much an idiot with poor grasp of reality to let rappers like Chief Keef, Bobby Smurda, Rick Ross, Migos, Fredo Santana, etc, etc blah...blah... To let influence you. Especially if you are apart of the middle class or higher.
But to get to the nitty gritty, your arguments that you made about "negative" rap music all throughout this forum sounds just like the arguments far right loonies and naive/ignorant parents made about violent video games making kids do "bad" things like maybe shooting up a school. That's what exactly your arguments sound like.
Listen buddy... I've been playing GTA since I was in elementary school. I was never inspired by the game, because I could tell the difference between reality and fiction. As a kid I was very interested in old school gangsta rap, and was heavy in listening to Wu Tang, NWA, Tupac(mainly 2Pacalypse), Biggie, etc. Yet I was never inspired to sell dope, "tool up" or rob someone. My criminal record as of this day is crystal clean...
But why is that??? Because I can freaking tell the difference between reality and fiction! Rappers like Rick Ross take on fictional character roles to sell more records and get more fans. Rick Ross doesn't literally want you to sell drugs, its just his characters.
Rappers like Chief Keef, this kid and other drill rappers can ONLY influence people from THEIR reality. Meaning people who actually live in Chiraq and know what those rappers go through. Hell that is the point of drill music, to tell a story of what everyday poor Chicago residents goes through. Hell I doubt people from hoods outside of Chicago can relate to the drill rappers much less middle class black people. And they definitely are not getting influenced by negative rap whether drill or not. And I know MANY middle class blacks that listen to Chief, Migos, Waka and many other drill/trap artist and yet those same blacks are going to college. Why is this? Because they can tell the DIFFERENCE between reality and fiction.
The root of the problem is blacks lack a strong economic base and thus there is poverty. Everything else is a symptom of that. Anyone who thinks rap music is the main problem is just a plain idiot in my eyes. There are a bunch gangs all around the world, much worse than those found in the USA and its due to poverty. And yet those gangs like those found in the Brazilian slums aren't listening to some Brazilian version of Chief Keef.
I hope this post drives some points home...
PS: As for my username its a gimmick....
